2011 GLK 350
Hey Everybody.
I am Ronny Geenen living in SoCal. I always have driven an MB and had a 560 SEC for 27 years. I am now 83 years and due to back and hip problems, I bought a glk 350 for easy in and out.
I am the second owner since 2016 of a 2011 glk 350.

Thank you, MBpippo, Is it not funny. I am in SoCal and you are in Australia.
Wel, maybe you will tell me how I can place an forum question in regard to my glk350.
That means I have to start a new thread. I am not that good with forums.
Maybe because I am 83 years.
Thank you, Ronny

Show your Benz

I wonder why. I am driving a Benz for the last 50 years. First a SLC, than a SL, a 300SD, a SEC for 27 years and now, because of age a glk 350.
Have been a member of the SEC member forum. I am also a member of a Photography forum and forums about world war 2 forums.
But I really do not understand this forums with all kind of rules. Maybe somebody can and will explain it to me.
I am only interested in reading about the MB and have some questions about the glk. Especially about the audio system.
Greetings, Ronny (IndoRon)

Hi Bill Russell,
I noticed that this forum has different rules, but I will try to answer your stories. You see, I was born in 1936 in a former Dutch colony, the Dutch East Indies, today called Indonesia. My ancestors are Dutch, French, Portuguese and Indonesian.I spent 3 1/2 years in a japanese concentration camp. My father was tortured for about 8 month and died in 1948. My mother and her 4 children nearly survived the war. I lost 23 family members. My wife came as an orphan to the Netherlands. Her family members were all murdered. After the war another war started. Indonesia wanted to be independent and tried to kill all the people with European blood. Then we got kicked out of the country and shipped to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands I became a mechanical ships engineer and spent 10 years on the big super oil tankers.
An American company in SoCal was in need of my engineering background and we both left Europe in 1981.
My first car in the US was a used Mercedes SLC. My second a 300SD 5 cyl. diesel. Great car. Bought it used and 3 years old and had it for 25 years. Than I found a beauty a 560SEC and had it for 27 years. Because of my age and medical back and hip problems, I bought myself a used Mercedes suv glk 350 with the amg options. Had it for over 3 years with totally no problems. I will not drive a jap car. If you want to know more of my history: https://MyIndoWorld.com

2013 White ML350
Hi everyone new guy here

We just found this beautiful 2013 ML350 with 68141 miles on it. White with two brown/tan with eucalyptus wood. Just got back from its first voyage of 1600 miles into the snowy Steamboat Springs area for a couple days of skiing. The 4Matic worked great saved my aass once I think. I was a little hot in one corner with snow and she started to fishtail on me so I corrected with steering and I swear it did the rest, like braking. Anyway it was a clean trip with no problems. I'm a big believer in forums such as this one, I wanted to thank you all in advance for your time and efforts in sharing your knowledge! I already did my first oil change. ~8 qrts man that's a big oil reservoir. I need some info on clearing the Oil Reset Code with my new icarsoft code reader. Can anyone direct me to the right post, I've tried searching and few different ways. Is there a DIY zone?

2014 ML350 Bluetec
Greetings from Florida

Hello all! I'm the proud owner of a 2014 W166 Bluetec. I bought it for the MPG's and great AWD system. I ended up here because I'm a DIYer. Looking forward to getting help keeping her running for a long time.

Gblack7, Nice car and a lot of luck. Because I had been a ship engineer, I love diesel engines.
But I do not see the need for AWD for a luxury car.

Talking

I've owned a few Mercedes before, but my first AMG is a 2010 G55 - man what fun car. Glad to officially be part of the forum, I've used this forum to get informed on this vehicle and the posts in the W463 community was a huge part of why I decided to pull the trigger. Thanks!

New Guy

Just posted a picture to the "Show Us Your Benz" thread so this may be a bit redundant but here goes. My wife never liked the 2017 Mazda CX-5 I bought almost exactly a year ago. She just wouldn't drive it because it was too big for her. After the new year I started shopping for a small "upscale" SUV/hatchback. It quickly came down to the GLA and its Infiniti twin, the QX30. In all candor I favored the look and interior of the Infiniti. We actually drove three of them, but none either had the options we wanted or were priced higher than I wanted to spend. The GLA started looking better and better the more I looked. Kept searching over a wider area until we found a beautiful black on black CPO 2017 with all the stuff I wanted and only 13,700 miles on the clock. Did some email negotiating before making the trip from Orange County to Las Vegas to see and drive the car. We both liked it a lot and after a bit more haggling the deal was made. I must say the whole dealership experience was great. So here I am in the first Mercedes Benz I've ever had. So far we both love the little guy.

After washing it when we got home I decided to remove the GLA 250 badge from the tailgate and am glad I did. I think it makes the rear end look more elegant and balanced. Made me so happy I sat down at my computer and ordered about $400 worth of new floor mats and other small accessories.

Being a newbie, I place 2 pictures and the procedure accepted my addition. But I cannot find them. Has this to do with the number of pixels?

Hello from the Netherlands!

Hi my name is Andy and I am here to learn from the expertise of others who can give feedback on these cars based on firsthand experience. Over the years I’ve owned so many cars, from a Toyota Tercel ((1996) to 5 MX-5 Miatas, to a Mustang, Cadillac Seville STS, Hyundai Sonata, Lincoln Town Car, Saab 9-5, Camry, Ford Explorer and the list goes on. Looking to join the MB world for a bit. Thanks in advance to all of you for your help and advice!
