Gotta tell you, there are no better cars on the road. Spent the last few days
finding out all the gismos and nicknacks on the E350. Have a bunch of questions. and will ask them in due course.
I'm Jas from Toronto Canada. I have been driving this 2003 E320 which I bought from a MB certified dealer in 2006 with 27500 KM on it. I don't know if I am posting on right Forum for help.
Last summer my hot engine would not start and once I leave it for 30 minutes I stared and drive well. I read some posts on this forum and members suggested bad cam Shaft position sensor, thus I replace it and problem resolved.
Last month on January 15 we had Ice storm and weather became very cold and temperature dropped to -35 degree C. Next morning my car would not start. Engine was cranking, car started but was missing and rpm was not going over 600 and after 4 seconds engine shuts off. I added gas line Anti -freeze and left it alone while waiting for temperature to go in plus. because of excessive cranking my battery drained and I recharged it. After three days car started when day time temp. was +6 C and ran well until yesterday. It would not start in the morning. Like engine started but stalls after 3 seconds as engine rpm were very low at 500 to 400. Later it did not start at all, even with the booster.
It had original battery thus decided to replace it. Installed a new battery but no results. Then I decide to replace spark plus. When started the engine same old story - car started at 800 rpms but quickly dropped to 400 to 300 and within 3 seconds engine stalled. later it did not start.
Can it be fuel pump rely or fuel pump itself? Is there something wrong with EPS? I have no warning lights on display.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. It has 71,600 Km on odometer. Car was in very good running condition but cold weather has killed her.
its a 1987 Smoke Silver Eurospec W124 300TE 4matic. Its amazing so far, and being a BMW guy owning his first Merc (btw it was bound to happen one day lol) i am incredibly impressed with the car overall and the fact that just about everything still works minus a few speakers and a few minor things. The special thing about this car is that it was originally sold in Germany at the Assenheimer-Mulfinger dealership in Heilbronn. Ive even got old service records from them for the vehicle! along with originall german Owners Manuals, tow hitch booklets etc. The vehicle even still has the original triangle, Hi-Vis vest, tool-kit, and fully stocked first aid kit with a booklet from the German Red Cross.
Anyways! I hope to show you the car soon once i get some photos and i look forward to posting!
