Welcome New Members
My wife had a '03 G35 which we bought new. The G35 was solid and never failed us. But it was time for a change. Initially she wanted a Black Audi A4. Being a car guy and an Audi A6 owner I try not to have 2 Audi's in the family. I have a hard enough time keeping one running. So I nudged her towards another G but she didn't go for it.
Next was looking for a black A4 with the options she wanted. I found one about 3 hrs from where we live. The sales guy did a nice Facetime walk around and we put a deposit down.
While we were waiting for prep and stuff I suggested she try a c300 from a little lot near our house. It was a '13 Lux with 8K, blue-gray. She drove it and really liked it. But she was still thinking A4.
However after sleeping on it she decided black was no longer the preferred color and now white was it. So I started to look for white A4's and c300's. We found a white Sport with P1, HK, Keyless Go, AMG 18's and MM Package. My wife fell in love with it. So thats my story.
Now I have to learn about MBs. Only downside I can see is on the Audi's you can get a great Diag package called Vag-com. It does do generic OBDII but its nice having something that does manufacture specific stuff.
But that's for down the road since we have 4 years of MB Warranty left.
The G only failed once with codes and I was able to pull it with the vag-com.
Anyway I'll lurk around, read, learn and try to help others the best I can. thanks for reading..
I recently installed Speedriven catless downpipes for my Eurocharged tuned, CL65 amg. My "check engine" light came on immediately, which I thought was odd because my tuner felt confident he could shut it off. After many weeks of back and forth, I tried replacing one of my O2 sensors, according to the error code. That fixed the problem for a couple weeks, and the CEL came back. But while replacing the O2 sensor, the mechanic removed the 90 degree extensions, saying "they were not in exhaust stream." So my question is this- when is it necessary to have the extensions for the O2 sensors, and how does having a tune affect this? Many thanks.
Please feel free to introduce yourself in this section.
Enjoy!!

Bought it as the previous owner had the dreaded oil cooler fixed.
9K miles later have replaced about $3000 in parts and labor.
Injector seals failed, DEF injector failed and stranded us.
Oil seals that failed ruined about $2,000 worth of rubber under the hood.
Otherwise the best riding SUV we ever had.
Oh it will cost about $700 dollars to have our new paver in the driveway cleaned.
Thanks MBUSA Montvale, NJ for nothing. An apathetic bunch of weasels.
Shoulda bought another FORD Explorer..
Bought this car based on the great experiences I had with various E class sedans in the 90's.

I'm loving it needs a bit of tarting up tho to get it to my standard.
Can any one recommend wich reliable led 6000 bulb I can use on the front parking light without the warning light coming on the dash,
And where I can purchase it from.
Dose anyone know if the parking light bulb is a pull out or twist & pull to get it out.
Hope to get some tips of you guy's & learn a bit more about my C-Class.
