Researchig my first purchase, maybe used S63AMG

Never owned a Mercedes

But I'm thinking of getting one. Here to do some research. I've had mostly American cars/trucks the past 30 years. I'm thinking about picking up a used S550 or S63 or 65 AMG.

I'm not in a hurry, sometime over the next year or so. It wouldn't be a daily driver, more like a weekend car.

This is the first time I've ever looked at this forum. I'm looking forward to learning about Mercedes.

I've never driven one. I've had some high performing (at least in a straight line) American V8 cars but do not currently have one. My daily driver is a nice car, but it does not scratch the itch.

I'm also old enough to be over muscle for muscle's sake (lol) and would like some performance with luxury/refinement in equal measure. That sounds like a job for Mercedes-Benz!

You know it's funny... I have a buddy with a small museum of muscle cars... his daily driver ? 2017 AMG c63s..... he traded his ctsv in after a road trip in my old ML63... he had no clue German cars could move and sound like these...
