Need installer for HPS supercharger on w210 E55 in the bay area

Anyone know any reasonable priced mechanic that can install an HPS supercharger on my E55? HPS estimates about 10hrs of labor.

Are you installing the Gen1 or Gen2 system? I noticed over on the E55 page on benzworld that Godspeed in Oakland is going to start selling the old HPS Gen1 system with some new upgrades and improvements. Perhaps you could contact them.

10 Hours seems low...I Would say 15 would be more like it...then another 30 to sort it out...Might want to Contact a HPS Installer..on HPS site?

Do a Base line Dyno Before the Install.....

Gen 2 systems didnt reach the HP goals....But The Gen1 Could make numbers with some work Good LUCK on the Install!

30???? ... You might want to triple that from all the experiences people have posted on this forum.

While I understand the Gen 1 systems have been shown to work (with work) I can't believe anyone would choose to use a HPS system after all the BS people have had with them.

I know a fantastic Mercedes Tech up here in the bay area ... but I wouldn't advise him do a HPS install regardless of how much he could potentially make.

We had my Gen1 up and running in about 20 hours actually. If we had to do a second it would take about 10-15 probably. If it's never been done by the tech expect a few extra hours. The instructions are hard to go by. Once the system is installed though, you could install a second without instructions. It's that simple, just not as simple when your guessing how everthing goes together the first time.

You may want to get a flate rate qoute for install, if things get slow you may negate the purpose of an inexpensive S/C with crazy install charges.

Look into posts from E55cent (mario). He has worked many of the HPS1 bugs out of his system and got 400whp/ 400+wtq.
