mercedes s500 w220
No power in Drivers door
I have a 2000 s500 and my drivers door is not working, nothing none of the buttons or window switches. it likes to come on and off has anybody had this problem and what causes it. Can i fix it myself. thanks in advanced!

sounds like a fuse or maby u got water inside ur door from the window seal?

My guess would be a red 4.0 mm wire broken in the accordian tube between the door and the body. DCMs usually stop completely, never to work again.

CL 600 Door Power, 2002
My door quit today. Had previously lost remote lock. Taking advice here, removed accordion boot and found two severed wires. I think this is the problem. Passenger side is good. Will splice extra wire lengths tomorrow. If no re-post, that was the issue(s).
