Big problem when I disconneted the battery

Ok here it goes. I went away for 2 months and disconnected my battery so it wouldnt drain. When I returned,I reconnected the battery and the car started right up (no dead battery or warning codes or light). But now certain things don't work. These are some of the things that I found not working so far.
1) Soft close
2) Lock and unlock using remote
3) Trunk release (electric)
4) head restraint release on dash console
5) Steering column adjustment
There may be more. I searched for other threads but none of them had all these problem. Do I need to reset everthing individually or maybe a master ECU reset? or do I need to take this to a dealer and have it reintinialized with STAR. Or am I missing something else. Please help.

So let me understand this everytime you disconnect the battery, you must go back to the dealer and have the computer reset?

From my experience, this is correct, one could leave her for say a week disconnected, and she would be fine, longer than that, it's a complete shut-down, alot of optional extras, do not work and need to be switched by STAR.

Also if your car has ABC, do not leave her to stand for longer than 2 months.

(when they sit low on the suspension for a long time, it's very bad)

Please refer to ABC threads if you have that on your car.

You could try and send pm's or start a thread and ask if an MB World Forum member has a STAR computer to help you.

did you read the START HERE thread at the top? You can do most of the resets yourself. Probably all of them

Well, two months may be too long, but just drive a few blocks everything should go back off..

** The Drive Dynamic Seats, with Pulse massage function need STAR, so does the ABC pump when it goes into limp mode that having the car battery disconnected for more than 4 months.

My personal experience above!

I have read all threads on the W220, as far as I know there is an AC Rest Reset, for switching on your A/C pump when your FREON is low.

I can go into Engineering Mode, from my Comand Nav/DVD and do some changes to what is in the menu. Still no STAR reset here.

I would like to know if anyone can switch on the Drive Dynamic Seats, with the Pulse massage function, without STAR. In a 2005 W220 S55 Kompressor AMG.

Sometimes its as simple as locking the car, letting the canbus go to sleep and then unlocking it.

When I had my battery replaced the tecnician started the car and turned the steering full left, and then full right. If this does not reset the computer he said to do it again, It worked the first time. give it a try.

2000 S430, 1999 E 320, 2 K5 blazers,
I am having the same problem as we speak, my battery died over the weekend and not my soft door close does not work and neither does my key fob unlock, lock and trunk does not work.

I was thinking if i drain my battery and have mercedes road side assistance come out would they reset it?
