S600 2005
2005 S600 options

Hi Guys,

new to the board and just recently picked up an 05 S600. I cannot believe what I bought for a relatively cheap price, this is awesome!! I have looked around but was wondering if there is an option list for th S600, I believe I know what mine does not have but was wondering anyway. I do not have Distronic, active seats, rear door shades and am wondering what was all available.

Thanks!

S.

Where to start? The Italians or the Germans?
You can add the Distronic cruise control for around $2-3k. I have ridden in a car with it, and it really is a wonderful option. I have been toying around with the idea of buying a 03-06 S600/S65, but I have yet to find the right one with the Distronic. Surprisingly, not a lot of people seem to have bought it.

Welcome aboard by the way. Post up some pictures of your 600 when you have some time. Always like seeing the V12s.

Cheers,
Ricky

My last two S600's had Distronic. It's a real giggle at first, but after a while the novelty wears off, and now I'd avoid it.

I have a UK brochure with W220 options & prices. I'll try to get it scanned and posted here.

I agree, novelty item. I too have distronic, I'd rather have an S600 without to be honest.

UK options are different than US. Such as, rear ski bag, rear fridge, split rear 2+2 seats, and other crazy British stuff I don't even know about...Oh, steering wheel on the wrong side

Thanks guys!! I will post a pic or two soon, too busy driving and enjoying the car to take some! :-).
I was wondering if this option could be added later? Other than the wiring harness what is involved?
Cheers.

You need the radar unit, the bracket and attachment hardware, a new grille, the wiring harness, the center console wood with switches, instrument cluster coding, and i'm sure some other things, plus labor to install and program everything.

Is that the actual radar piece or the control module? The later cars don't use a control module, and my radar unit has been fine, so I can't help you there.
