I have a CPO 08 S550 and the pre-owned warranty is ending at the end of next month. I want to buy a extended warranty but want to know if anyone has something other than the Mercedes one. I just want to keep my options open and see what others experiences are regarding any third party warranties. Also if you have someone I can contact so I can get a better deal let me know. Thanks.

try carchex, i have them, it roughly $4K - 4.5K FOR warranty up to 100k with everything included outside of tires, wipers, rubber hoses......

i have heard from a friend who worked in the extended warranty business that carchex is one of, if not the best.

mercedes wanted something like 6.5k if i remember correctly. maybe 5.5k, not sure....

who ever emailed me, private message me, it states i cannot email you back....

anyways from the email, i haventhad to use the warranty yet (knock on wood) but i do have the highest package available, i was quoted for $4k if i remember, im paying like 220-230 a month for this. and talking to a MB service advisor, he states that carchex is great.

I got a quote from USAA:

12/12,000 for $1800
24/24,000 for $2900
36/36,000 for $4200

I'm not sure if this is great but does anyone have an luck with USAA warranties? They also offered a payment plan for these to which I believe MB is an upfront cost.

Any other companies with a quick review would be great too that I can look into.

My MB dealer chares I think 4k to ake the CPO out to 135k and an additional year. Not sure, but, keep in mind there is quite a bit of "wiggle room" in the price the dealer charges.

Got a phone number I can reach them at? If I'm not mistaken it can be bought at any Certified MB dealer. Any ideas?

I do not have a phone number, but, I believe that the Warranty can be purchased from any MB dealer. When I purchased an MB extended warranty for a new E class last year, I called several dealers for a price. Ended up purchasing it from an out-of-state dealership for $1500 less than my dealer wanted. Shop around. I did the entire transaction by phone.

I basically went to there site and when thru the quote process. I didn't know you had to get your loan from them to purchase one. Can anyone confirm?

My 2 year extension to the CPO warranty on my S Class was $3,995 list price rolled into a package deal, so I can't say the final price. I got the best quote for an MB extended warranty on one of my MLs from Herb Gordon Mercedes in Silver Spring MD, which my dealer then matched. It might be worth a try for you.

I've have USAA extended warranty on my SL600 & CL65 and they have been great. No issues with getting repairs.

Call Erin at Smothers for a great price on an MB extended warranty. I used her - she's awesome, very helpful, and will beat any MB dealer price. She's just very busy - so call, don't email. I got a great deal on my S class extended warranty from her:

carboxy - I don't know anything about the Nissan warranty but when I contacted him thru email he was very fast in his responses and answered all of my questions without any fluff.

Well I ended up going with Travis who gave me the best price on a ELW. Definetly give him a call or email for a quote.
