Crack in the plastic part of the radiator

Guys, I'm getting another leak in my 2007 S600, this time it's a crack in the plastic of the radiator where the air intake duct (on USA driver side) connects to the radiator plastic side.

1) What's the best way to remove the radiator - can it come up through the top (as I don't have a hoist and would need to relay on various jack stands to try to take it out from the bottom)

2) Any recommended replacement brands apart from Mercedes/Behr?

3) Was anyone successful with plastic welding like Polyvance for example? The crack is quite clean and easily accessible so if those heat welds work as well as steel welding such repair would save the replacement time and could potentially be stronger than the original Mercedes part (which is obviously not that good) if more welding material was applied. Obviously any epoxy etc material would not be strong enough and it would need to be a true plastic welding

thanks!

Exactly the same crack as in this thread and procedure is probably similar for S550 and S600. Sounds like the Behr radiator is the way to go.

If anyone has a different opinion please chime in, thanks
