Mercedes Benz of Brooklyn - New Name, Same old ****
I just tried to get a car from Mercedes of Brooklyn (NY) and went there on Monday of this past week to look at the S Class. The salesman gave me his card, I gave him mine. I called him later in the day to thank him for showing us the car, and left a voice mail since he didn't answer.
I emailed him to ask him about the cars he had in stock. NO reply.
I called him the next day. No reply.
I emailed again a 3rd day. Reply: "I'll call you later"
I called the dealership's main line to ask for another salesperson.
I got a Greg on the phone who didn't seem to know what he was even talking about. I told him EXACTLY what I wanted (even gave him a stock # and it was listed on his own website). I told him of the issue I had prior with the awful communication. He apologized a few times, and told me he would look into that specific car and call me within 30 minutes with some sort of number.
No call back.
24 hours later, I call him and ask what kind of dealership are they - and he apologized and asked me how he could help me? I asked him if he remembered our conversation about the specific car I wanted to buy from their website. He said "yes the S Class".
I asked if he had the window sticker for that particular car to tell me the options. "No".
I asked him if he could get it for me now. He said "You have to come down and look at it". I reminded him that I had already done that process already and it was now a numbers thing only. He said "My department really tells me to get the customer in the door".
I asked him if he had heard what I said about 45 seconds earlier regarding already coming in. He said yes, but I was getting specific.
Amazing. You can wave $120,000 at someone and they don't want to take it.
I ended up going to MB Manhattan and finished the process over the phone within 10 minutes.
You had trouble in NJ? According to the previous comment, It must have been your fault. (jk)
Which dealer in NJ? A friend of mine went to Ray Catena and swears it was the worst experience in car buying - but I've always thought they were top notch.

My sincere mistake. I'll not repeat that courtesy again. I will also be calling MBUSA in the morning after I get the car to put in a complaint. Corporate should know what goes on at dealerships.
Been a while since I've been on the forum. I am getting addicted already.
Did you get the rear entertainment system as well ?
( always think of you when I'm running on the treadmill at the gym watching Dana on the 5 )

Yes, car has the entertainment center, but I have to figure out how to use it and all.
That's really funny. Having dinner with her next week! I'll tell her you said hello!
As to the rear entertainment system, I am thinking of getting it mainly because of the remotes that can control basically everything in the car. However, how useful are the rear screens? You can basically program anything in the rear screens such as navigation and all the stuff am I correct?
Thank you in advance
I have a bone to pick with you Chuck300. It's that picture of that Peter Lugers dinner that just made me really hungry for something that I can't get out here, arghhhh.
Seriously though, good luck with your car and if you are ever having a hard time finding any aftermarket parts that you may be interested, let me know and I will see iff I can help you out with that. Enjoy the car.

Same shape but instead of wood, it's leather and the bottom piece where it says Mercedes Benz says AMG.
You have two options - leather with perforated side grips or leather with dinamica side grips.

I can recommend Rockville Center LI and Silver Star in Queens.
