Pulleys/Belt

So I am just going to replace all pulleys and the 2 belts.
Anyone else ever do this yet?
I am doing this as I have a squeaky belt/pulley if you recall I put up a video.
Since I am using Mercedes methodology, I am just replacing everything.
3 pulleys and 1 tensioner and 2 belts.
I am going to do this on ramps and go from under.
any tips?
I have all parts and wis instructions.
I will make a video for the library.
I am at 50k.

thanks

Thanks, I have this coming up on mine, appreciate you posting. I assume it's roughly the same on the 4.7 and 4.0 V-8 engines

What is the scheduled interval for this to be done? My Indy never mentioned this to me and I recently dropped my car off to him with an open checkbook.

This is not on an interval per se, when the V belt is removed for replacement idler pulleys should be inspected and replaced if noisy or spinning freely.
Generally audible noise will be generated before catastrophic failure but not always.
A replacement of all idlers is rather cheap and easy so a preventive step at 60k-100k is not a bad idea.

If you have the WIS instructions you should be all set.
Some will be better from the top and some from the bottom.

my only concern was time as I am trying to avoid removing a lot of stuff, so I wanted to go from the bottom just to avoid removing air boxes, intakes, I’d I do all that I might as well do the spark plugs…

I also notice that it gets louder when I give it gas, but once the car is warm it is quiet at idle.

I took the covers off today and this is a topside job for sure.
no room from underneath due to radiator and frame.
now I decide if I want to take all the ‘stuff’ on top off and do the pulleys and spark plugs….. a weekends worth of wrenching for sure.
