Delivered last week. I was looking for one in gray but decided on this one. Can’t believe I bought another black car. But love Obsidian Black. We had the same color in a GL diesel way back - wife still talks about that car.
2020 S560 4Matic.
Delivered with just over 200 miles.
Obsidian Black
Black Exclusive Napa interior
AMG Package
Premium Package
Driver Assistance Package
Magic Sky
Warmth and Comfort Package
Burmester High End 3D Surround (incredible)
Wish it had the HUD yet I can live without it
Some basic tweaks are one the way. I’ll do a chip based ILS+ upgrade and maybe a few others. And I’ll probably do a Renntech update when the motor is broken in.
Wow, congratulation. Awesome color and great spec's.
I don't think the lack of HUD is a big deal. You got Sky Control and 3D Burmester and honestly those are the features that I will never consider a W222 without them after having them. I can let go HUD or few other stuff, but not Magic Sky Control or 3D Burmester. Congrats!
Congrats, you're so lucky to own such a great car
I know black is very hard to maintain but it's the best color for the S Class to me
Thanks for sharing
Happy Driving

The HUD has useful features when using adaptive cruise, otherwise just a nice to have item. And I use adaptive cruise all the time on our trips cross country.
Yes, the 3D sound it amazing. Setting things up and in the garage I put in my media card and an Aaron Copland piece started - El Salon Mexico. I sat in the car for 10 minutes listening to it. Damn. Then during a quick drive with my wife for some fresh gas for the car Lady Gaga came on from my play list… she said it sounded great. Then I turned it up a bit and she was blown away.
I mainly use Apple Music via Car Play. High Res or Lossless downloaded to my iPhone.
And mom will love the W&C goodies in the back seat. Our last E450 wagon didn’t have heated back seats.

Congrats on the HUD. My search for my W222 extended to a full year till I found all the options I needed. Now it is time for you to post interior photos

Nah! Mileage isn’t everything. Not to rain on the OP’s parade—it’s a fabulous car—but I would be interested to know how the car came to have that low mileage and how many owners it has had.

Agree that "extremely low" mileage isn't everything. Anything below 35--40K miles when buying pre-owned is basically the same for me, but once it gets below 15K miles I feel that's more of a different territory (it's like good "reliability" wise but bad "$/value" wise for 2nd owner). Sweet spot (value wise) for my use is always between 25 to 40K miles (not too low, and not too high) and as a 2nd-hand buyer that is where the depreciation is best (mostly digested by 1st owner) while at same time giving me as a 2nd buyer a good number of thousands of miles to drive before it is considered high mileage "risky sale/buy" when it's due for trade in. That's just how I look it. Reason I avoid less than 20K miles is because the depreciation is not yet fully digested by 1st owner, and I will be sharing a huge portion of that as soon as I hit the 30-50K miles range in 2 years, as compared to buying it with 25-35K miles and selling it with 50-60K miles. That's just what works for my specie situation as I trade every 1-year on average to 3-years max. If course all this applies to 2-to-6 years old vehicles only.
Sorry, buying a car with 200 miles on it like this is just cool. Car is really well equipped too. Of course you can buy a car with 15k or 30k miles and it can be in great shape and be a good buy, but its not new like this car is.

Not saying that it isn’t cool, it’s EXTREMELY COOL! That said, WHERE has the car been all this time? WHY wasn’t it driven more? How many owners? Enquiring minds want to know!

He knows the history, its in the first post:
MB titled. Company exec or show type car.
Car was owned by Mercedes as a demo type vehicle and really never driven, likely stored in a secured garage in NY.
Thanks for all the comments! I wasn't looking for a garage queen with low mileage. I was looking for one with between 10 - 20k miles with the right combination of options. 2019 or 2020. The dealer had this one since this past January, asking a crazy amount, so I was able to negotiate a really good price. It was still more than I was looking to spend, but that's how it goes sometimes. And usually these move really quickly in the market so I jumped on it as they wanted it sold. We did all the paperwork via FedEx and they delivered it. I didn't go look at it. My last few cars have been bought like this.
It was delivered to Mercedes of Nanuet where it sat from 7 miles to 47 miles between Dec 2019 and Jan 2023. Then to Mercedes of Arlington in Jan 2023 with just under 200 miles.
I guess technically I'm the third owner.
Tires are Michelin Primacy, and from reviews they are really good tires. Date codes on three of the tires are the same and the fourth is a few weeks later. Debating tinting - I've done it on many of my other cars and it really helps especially on long road trips. Wondering if the 596 glass package will do an adequate job.
I also considered an S63 but with the Renntech tune it's basically there with a better ride from what I've read. I'll live with the car for a while before deciding if the tune is needed.

Wish I had the HUD but I'll survive without it. I'll work on interior shots.
Love your car, gray was my first choice. Couldn't find one I liked.

You did the right thing. If I was buying and found a car like that, despite the history, IF IT WAS PRICED WELL, I would have bought it. Given I basically buy cars with the intention of not losing too much money on them when I sell, I go for reasonable low mileage combined with a good deal (which is why I'd never ever buy new and lose too much money when I can get the same car for much less. Just not for me given how quickly I trade my fleet), Most of the time I buy from private owners and also sell to private owners (friends or forum peers, etc); it is a win win for everyone. I get more for my car, they pay less for the car than buying it from a dealer - but it's all about trust. If you are planning on keeping this W222 for too long, I think u made a great decision. Waiting for the interior photos lol. Always wanted a black S-class, but I seem to always find grey ones, lol. At least my X7 is Black, but my X5 is also Grey!. I like Black vehicles a lot; Classy!
