The shade of “saddle” tan shown here has always been my favorite interior color. Some here may recall a few of my rants over the years as to why MB did not offer such an interior color. I will wait to see the whole thing, but from what I see in these photos, the seats & leather seem to be a big leap forward over the W222 and the color shown looks just PERFECT to me. Now, if I can only get over the huge screen!

Mine as well. I have had the comparable color on three vehicles. In addition to liking the color, it's not too light to show dirt and not as dark as black (love black exterior, but not interior).

benzo's press release on the 223 interiour - lots of (written marketing) detail but interesting nuggets that you've probably not seen elsewhere yet.

Does anyone here think this feature is a big deal? Was it important to anyone when they went from like the dozen colors in the pre-2018 models to the zillion colors they have now? Just curious.

You would think the entire focus of their marketing is based on the 'exciting' new lighting and how you can talk to the car about it. Yawn. I hope they have more in the works than that and I'm still not a fan of the Tesla screen design. My 2018 is running just fine.

It ended up being a low intensity orange.

I assume that most of the S-class users use a single static color while a majority of other MB models will use changing color themes. Since MBUX uses a change in color theme as a default on all their themes, this is also coming to the S-Class.
Lighting is a key aspect for a modern car interior and making it elegant and luxurious is very important. Anyone that has driven a Rolls Royce knows that the starry sky headliner does add to the experience at night.
The whole thing has to subtle and elegant and it sounds that they can do that with the tech. Also the change in colors for safety is very useful. Our BMW already does something like that by switching the standard color (we use purple) to a flashing red when the door is open.
