2012 CLS63
It's a nice ride for sure. Just not as polarizing as the W222 was when it came out

I like the front of the car with the AMG bumper. On the other side those tail lights design is horrible imo. There are two things that I don't like about the interior. Both displays and the vents above the Tesla display. From all of the leaked pics I saw, those 4 air vents above the screen look not centered. Reminds me of the interior of the W140.

Amazing presentation this morning. The new W223 makes the W222 seem obsolete. I look forward to seeing the new model in person.

Gorgeous car overall. The rear end will grow on me the rear lights are rather monochromatic. I did not expect to see black rims on a non-AMG S-Class available on the AMG Line but that interior is gorgeous no debate.

Here’s my take on the w223:
1. the interior is beautiful. One exception; the split screens. You lose the integration and continuity that is present with the w222. When I get in my car I feel encapsulated and in a cockpit. I don’t think that feeling will be there with the broken up, non wraparound dash.
2. the front end looks good being longer wider And lower, thus giving it a more aggressive stance. While still being elegant. But, I will miss the masculine statement front end of the current w222. Currently, there’s no mistaking a w222 for a CLS or E class. I fear that with the new body language, the “mistaken identify” will be more common
3. the rest is nice overall, I do feel like the rear looks very much like the current s class coupe which is nice. The taillights and long chrome bar, eh. That part will have to grow on me.
3. the side profile! I was a bit skeptical at first because I love the current body line on w222 it gives the car such a clean presence. I do like how the new body line trails to the trunk and sort of lowers out at the rear. The rear bumper side profile gives me original CLS Vibes, and I like it!
4. Overall I think it’ll be a nice car, but the originality of the w222 I fear is gone. When I pull up in my w222, folks know it’s an S class...even folks who don’t know cars well, know you’re in the granddaddy of them all! With the new S I just don’t think that statement and presence will be there.
here is my w222 that I absolutely love. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s mine! I’m 28 not 82, so I wanted a bit more aggressive look but a classy aggressive.

Funnily, I prefer the rear to the front. I don't like how they've surrounded the grille into the front clip and how the hood no longer meets the top of the grille, I hate that design scheme on many cars. The rest of the car I think looks good.
I just cannot stand the screens in the interior, or the low dash. I hate tacked on screens, and I don't like touchscreens, hate the tacked on gauge cluster with no binnacle. The materials look (and are) beautiful, seats look great, I just don't see myself getting past the dashboard.
Doesn't deter me from my current consideration of a new W222 at all.

The exterior looks like a mid-cycle refresh to me!!
I'm sure the quality of the interior is to-notch but I can't swallow the dashboard with the floating tesla iPad that may start seeks overtime.
I personally hate touch screens and its way too low and will cause a distraction while driving.
Its very clear that MB targeting China Market!

As I stated prior, there really is no dashboard anymore. Tablets anything but stylish or elegant.
Still a magnificent machine. Will drive unlike anything on the road. I wouldn't rule it out, but definitely not the first few years. I cant imagine the gremlins on all that tech.

looks great! Can’t to see one in person and eventually get my hands on one.
