2012 ML63; 2012 XKR Conv
Mine should be ready for delivery on Saturday but I'm going to pick it up Monday morning; I'm promised to Mrs Krab for Saturday. She doesn't take well to being set aside for cars; I've proven that and then verified it again just to make sure my previous data was correct. O_o

Ive been tracking my ship to baltimore and it currently says "Moored at Dundalk" which is a port within 50 miles of baltimore and has said so for roughly 12+ hours. Anyone have any idea how long this normally takes for it to get to the port once "moored". Also once it gets in how long does it typically take to unload, at the final stretch very excited.

It may say moored but the boat is really anchored. If you're watching it on one of the AIS tracking sites you can tell the difference looking at the map. If it appears to be in the water close to land it's anchored, if it's laying against or inside land it's moored. Car carriers seldom spend more much more than a day at the actual unloading terminal if that long.
Easiest way to pinpoint the timing is to go to the vessel operator's site and look up the schedule; it's usually going to be somewhere towards accurate.

There is an auto terminal there; there are multiple terminals in the Baltimore area and the boat may unload to more than one. I don't know which is used by the Mercedes VPC.

My sales person got word from the factory today. My 580 has been delayed from 8/30 to Nov 16. They won’t say what option pushed it out. It has to be either the eABC or Manufaktur interior. Oh the price is way higher than I expected. I’m at 160k, ugh.

AMG with eABC and the Manufaktur interior. The interior was 10 and eABC was 6.5. I hope it shows before the end of the year. My wife said I am not allowed to complain about my Mercedes being shipped later than expected. Apparently, this is one of the most egregious examples of first-world problems out there.

Could be a few days to a few weeks. The customer sold vehicles usually get processed quicker than stock orders in my experience. One year in 2018 I did Euro Delivery on my 2019 S63 and drove my S63 from the plant in Sindelfingen (had a stop in Affalterbach to do a 4 hour tour of AMG) to the port in Bremerhaven on about 11/23/18. Within a week was loaded at Bremerhaven Germany. The ship arrived at the Baltimore VPC around 12/15 and was re-delivered to me on 12/31. At the time I had a contact at MBUSA that was in charge of the Euro Delivery program so she made a call to the VPC to get it out of the VPC onto a truck since many times Euro Delivery cars could sit at the VPC for weeks. Other years my S Class cars sat at the VPC for weeks without Euro Delivery even though it was a customer sold order. I bit of the luck of the draw on timing.

Hard to guess from what cars like mine and other 23s did because they were on hold waiting for release. Once MB did release the S580s it left the VPC in 3 days, but I think Mtrauman is right; my experience with car ordering it's a crapshoot for timing leaving the VPC: I've had from a few days to several weeks.

So I'm at 155,350 that's right off the Mulroney; making this a bit more than 12k higher than the same car in 22. Sigh... The sticker shows no executive package and instead everything is an extra cost option that was previously in the executive package. at significantly less ching. Gotta think about that one.

Thanks gents! I'm pretty darn excited. You'd think you get used to it after a while but one of the great (material) pleasures I get in this world is when the new car shows up and I take her out on the road for the first time. I guess you never outgrow the kid at Xmas thing as we were saying above.

2023 S Class 2013 SL
Currently the online configurator for the executive line does not show the availability of 10* rear steering and I couldn't find that it is standard. I saw now mention of it as an option nor as standard. Is the site mixed up or am I?
