Official 2023 ordering thread.

The Executive trim has always showed up as an amalgamation of 5 options on window stickers rather then the single box that it looks like on the order guide. It’s the warmth and comfort package ($3800), the rear seat package ($4,150), the executive rear seat package ($3,150), the rear entertainment package ($3,400, when available), and the 10 degree rear steering. The prices have fluctuated slightly (in 2022 rear interior assist showed up as an additional $350 option and the executive rear seat package was an additional $300). So it shouldn’t look different then it would have on the 2021s or 2022s.
The matrix function is not enabled, the US headlights remain as before.
I received two flacones: Bamboo Mood and MOOD cotton, I went bamboo. Also received two ashtrays; in my case these will be small storage devices.
The dealer threw a travel mug, a decent tote, and a hoodie in the trunk. I didn't discover it until I got home and they didn't mention it. Nice touch.
The 4D stereo is, I think, the best I've encountered so far and better than the Bermy in my Porsche. I was not able to find a car with one to test drive.
The car is so very quiet, I knew that but had forgotten.
Someone had been asking about the installed apps in the rear tablet; there are 10ish installed. It looks to me like it can adjust almost everything but I didn't get into it much.
Mrs Crab is happy; played with lights, massage, seat settings, etc.
I'm not at all disappointed; I had gripes during the test driving phase and they remain. On the other hand it's a pleasure to pampered and unlike many I like the tech.
Oh, the door handles work as advertised.

These things may be done already, I just don't know. Please do report back if you do the research
A few items I haven't figured out yet: How to get the passenger side mirror to dip when I reverse. I noticed if I switch the mirror to that side it will do it, but if you're running on gestures it won't. I'd like it to do it all the time. Likewise, I'd also like for the car to lock itself when I get out; am I missing those things or are they not available features?

I got the same exact explanation from my salesman. I put my deposit around July 7th, and he said the car should arrive in Sept if there are no delays—October if there are any...
Asked for a follow up several times and he said he'd call me back and this was the "reason". Recently I saw the pricing was the 7 Million that was posted earlier. Not too happy with the constant haggling for any sort of update.
Apparently they also changed all the codes in Netstar so they also said they don't know what's going on.
I was debating on pulling my deposit from this particular dealer just due to lack of accountability and any communication and go elsewhere, but am worried about the car arriving to my spec within the next month or so—waiting all over again wouldn't be the end of the world but yeah. This is my first MB purchase so I'm not sure this is the norm.

I would pass on the mug and the tote but I will trade an umbrella for your hoodie.

I emailed my salesman to ask him if there's a PO # and or VIN out yet. Cheers!
I've noticed a few tiny things I hadn't noticed when I picked the car up. I carefully checked the paint and panel alignment before I rolled out of the dealership and similarly looked for flaws in the interior. Today I noticed that at the top of the center screen where the panel meets the holder behind it there is some plastic flashing poking out. It's subtle but it's there. I've also noted that if you push on some of the interior panels like the wood running across the dash on the passenger side it has more give than I would expect. It doesn't bother me because none are touchpoints and there is no visible indication, but it's there. Going back to the exterior I went at the gaps with calipers when I was out at the house today and they are very even. I had seen a video showing some misalignment and differing gaps but I'm not seeing it on mine. Could be the quality control is improving as the model years go by?
Also tested the supplied headphones today, they sound half decent and are reasonably comfortable to wear. I'm not a big headphone guy and I'm old and half deaf so probably not the best to make a call about them. The data works in the back and you can share screens as shown in various reviews. The browser is kinda crappy in the stock configuration in that it's infested with ads and doesn't seem as fast as I would expect in that it's slower than the phone sending the data when using its browser. When I get more time I"ll see if extensions can be installed back there. Not sure what browser it is other than it's not what I use; that being Firefox. As is, I think most people would just as soon browse on their phone as use the built in screen. The tablet is still a wild card in that I haven't tried to install apps off the market or sideload them yet; if that works it would (IMO) be better than the rear screens for Internet usage except for watching video. I don't know the resolution back there but the screens are sharp.

And, yes to above, ie a few pics would be nice.
And, please, use shorter paragraphs. Most of us are getting old and cannot really read anything close to a wall of text. Meant no offence.
The reason for the lack of pics...
In an effort to get a picture of something someone might find interesting, these are your source in back. The audio can go over the car speakers or to any capable device.
Again, possibly interesting; this is what you get with the headphones: The sizing is not going to be suitable for very young ones and they are needlessly heavy. Chances are good an S Class owner has a better device(s) already that they would probably prefer..
The first person in back commented on the center speaker. It appears bigger in the picture than in person and isn't lopsided to my eye but I wouldn't describe it as small.
At some point someone had asked about the Aero wheels on a dark car, here they are for your viewing pleasure. They fit the car well, much like the speaker in the picture the perspective doesn't get it quite right; the sidewall appears less tall as you're standing there looking at them. Still, people weaned on wheels that hurt performance in every possible way may not be happy with this wheel sizing; an in person look would probably be a good idea.
