From the driver seat? There’s a button on the driver’s door for the rear but not for the sides, at least as far as I can tell.

Use the same buttons on the driver door that control the rear side windows.
When the side window is closed, pull the button to raise the blind. Press down the button to lower the blind.

What settings menu?
Also, there is an overhead console button that shows the same blind icon, but mine doesn’t seem to work. Anyone know what the button to the right of the aforementioned does?
Also, my car didn’t come with a printed user’s manual, only the online or in-car one, which kind of sucks since I prefer the hard copy. It’s just easier for me to find things versus the pdf.

Regarding overhead console, if you swipe backward it will open the front overhead shade. Swipe again and it opens sunroof.
For the overhead button it opens the rear sunblind (not the rear side door shades)
Correction:
Settings> VEHICLE> Comfort> Roller sunblinds
The overhead button I was referring to is for the rear sunblind in the panoramic sunroof.

Voice is very effective in this car: Hey Mercedes... Open all the blinds... Done. Hey Mercedes... Close the blinds... Done. I'm one of those guys that's not fond of talking to my car but in this one it works well, and can be the easiest way to get from A to B.

I’m not near near car right now but I think it’s Settings> Comfort (?) > Open/Close

So, I am curious which button of the overhead console also opens the rear-window roller sunblind?

A pdf version has several advantages. You can put it in your mobile phone and have it with you anywhere you can (vs carrying a cumbersome printed version).
But the main advantage is that you can use 'Search' function of a pdf file reader and quickly locate a key word(s).

I wonder why your 223 did not come with a printed manual. I wonder if it is the dealer cheaping out on this. Maybe you can ask them. I imagine they should have received copies from MBUSA.
