AMG Roof Box on S-Class

Is there a way to attach roof rails and an AMG roof box on the new S-Class?

Absolutely. Every Mercedes has mounts in the rails for mounting a roof rack.

Just the other day I saw a C43 with an AMG roof box. They really look great.

Amazing car! I always wanted a hatchback sedan. The only reason I have SUVs is because we travel out of state a lot, at least once a month for a long weekend, and most of the sedans don't have enough space for our bags. SUVs suck on highway as far as seating comfort in my view, and Sedans are much smoother and more comfortable on highways. I love our model S now because it can take all our bags as the hatchback trunk design takes almost as many bags as most of our mid size SUVs. But, the size of the trunk in the real hatchback designs like the E-class is something else. These can really really take bags "almost" as much as a very large SUV (like an escalade or Navigator), and one can easily plan for a long beach weekend with a ton of bags and items unlike a regular sedan. I can only imagine how comfortable it would be to drive this car for a long summer trip across the country.

That’s one thing about the minivan I can’t deny, it swallows a ton of stuff and drives like a car.

Those E Wagons are sharp though. There was a new generation one at my dealer when I picked up my S580, it was nice.

Did you know the cargo space on the E wagon is slightly bigger than the GLE when seats are up? It's too bad the second row legroom isn't good as the GLE otherwise I'd be driving one.

Speaking of minivans, I was behind an EQS SUV at a stoplight the other day and it reminded me of the old R-class vans. They need to rebadge it as the EQR.

We had a 19 E-450 wagon, awesome car and loved the look. We did a couple cross country trips in it and while the cargo space was nice the rear seats were cramped, and they weren’t heated. Went back to an S, much more comfortable and the trunk space is fine, just have to pack smart.

Love to see a pic of an S with the roof carrier.

Doesn’t surprise me at all, the E wagon has lots of space.

A long wheelbase E-wagon or an S-wagon would be amazing. Don't mind me, I just woke up from dreamland.

Good to know! I remember my 2015 C300 had roof mounts and I wasn't aware if it was an optional feature for any models. Good to hear that it's standard in all Mercedes models. I don't own an S-Class yet just planning in the future.
