“Pre-Production Configuration - First Units in Europe This illustration represents a pre-production specification based on official factory configuration codes. Among the very first Mercedes-Benz S-Class units delivered to the European market.
• Limited availability - only 4 units
• Any engine variant available
• Production scheduled for March 2026
• Delivery expected April 2026
• Price is indicative and depends on final configuration
Be among the first to configure and secure the next generation of S-Class.”

Such info would be very useful for cataloguing the changeover. Am OK with not knowing the exact day, just need to know the month.

Just have to say that this refresh of the S class has me more excited than ever about getting my next one. I think this is the best-looking S class design ever, at least for the exterior.

Still very conflicted on the refresh. I see it some times and I think it looks great, and some times I think it looks heinous.

Interior is great though.

My only complaint are the two front "scoops" that grew in size and are highlighted with chrome. The way they appear on the Alpine grey model above, as well as on the 2025 model, I think are nicely subdued. On the
Argent Verde photo they're overpowering, kind of gross.

Night package solves this.

Sadly, night package in the US won't be available on 27 models. If I was in the market to trade, that'd be a deal-breaker for me.

Could always wrap it. I wrapped the chrome trim on my W221, it worked great and lasted for the entire 10 years I owned the car.

I agree and it’s because of the lights for me. Even though the headlights aren’t as bad as the taillights (taillights are terrible and cheap looking to me), the headlights look equally as bad at certain angles. The dumb new star lights are just terrible all around imo.

How long do you think it'll take before someone creates a faux 27 model our of their pre-facelift? In other words - they take their 21-26 model and replace the bumpers and lights to make it look like a refresh? Of course, the lack of the camera in the front finders will be the giveaway. Oh, and how long before someone fits a lighted star to their pre-facelift?

Its just over the top...

Right now I'm thinking my next vehicle will be a Range Rover because they still have elegant looks without over the top branding and weird interior layouts. Now...we will see what the refresh RR looks like...

Range Rovers are awesome. I wouldn’t own one but I would certainly consider leasing one.

man just got back from the new york auto show and i gotta say the new 2027 S-Class looks even more aggressive with that tweaked front air dam and revised LED lights, the MBUX infotainment system looks sleek too on the new interior.

Replace “chrome” with “black trim” and it would be my sentiments exactly! 😉

A RR is on my radar too. I prefer the LWB.

Totally agree. I share same conflicted thoughts. I really really dislike the black plastic grille surround even though I also suffer with it on my 2025 E450. At least with the Nautical Blue, it is less obvious but I know it’s there and so my eyes immediately spot it. The other major stumbling block is the superscreen. I skipped it in my W214 much to my satisfaction. Does anyone know if there is an option to avoid it in the FL 27 S? I could maybe be warm to it if it was better implemented, but those large black bezels around the three individual displays are just Fugly to me.

I like the LWB for the space but I actually think the SWB looks better, it looks more proper to me somehow.

I could have sworn you had a RR, or was it that you had one on order and got the Escalade instead?

No, its standard. My plan would be to just leave the passenger display off.

I ordered the Escalade and the RR. I did end up taking delivery of the Escalade but I stopped getting communication on the RR order. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold my allocation since they were very popular a few years ago.

The Escalade is nice. If I were to get another SUV it would be an Escalade or cheapskate me would get the GMC Yukon Denali. Cheapskate me would probably win.
