Question Looking for E53 AMG

Hello all,
It looks like it's time to move on to a new project. At first I was thinking of the S560 since it's price very nicely for such a car however in the end I am finding the E53 AMG a sexy replacement for my current C-Class.
As I am one of the first to have this C-Class model and had to deal with multiple issue, I would like to hear some of the issue that people have had to deal with while owning an 2020-2022 E53 AMG.

I have already seen in the form regarding a recall for the transmission wiring hardness fire related issue, I have heard about wind noise and also some creaking but I'm not really worried about those things.

Please write below what you have been through with your E53 AMG.

Sounds like an upgrade! As much as I like my C 43, the E 53 is definitely an upgrade at least creature comforts wise.

The main issue with the W213 E 53 would be a fire risk that is addressed by a recall, M256 although not as reliable as M276 has been way more reliable than the MB's four cylinders from experience with friends here in the GTA.

2022 E53
I have a 2022 E53, besides a recall, the only trouble I've had was right hand cameras sporadically would stop working. A software update at the dealership fixed the issue.

Also the 20 inch rims with Pirelli runflats make the ride a bit hard, and the sounds when hitting bumps unbecoming of an e-class.

The OP is shopping the e53, seemed reasonable and fair. You commented in those threads as I see too. Seemed like the owners of the chirping e53's were frustrated

i just posted a link. Hopefully Benz corrects your family members issue too, sounds terrible for a car of this caliber

Leaking cps and solenoids affects m278 and m157 among others but it's something an e63 buyer should look out for.

OP, if you don't need four doors I actually recommend looking at the CLE 53, that is what I am considering right now as well.

If you want to stick with the tried and true M276 yet get the upgrade to an E class, don't have to deal with potential 48V issues, you could always consider a used W213 E 43 sedan. Forum member Keith66 has one and loves it. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ml#post8756078
