99 SL 600 Clear Corners, Taillights & Other Mods (SoCal)
Im looking for various parts for this car. Does anyone know a good source for OEM clear corners and taillights? What other good mods are for this car? Im also looking for the same mods for a 93 400E & 97 C280, Thanks.

If you want clear corner lights there are tons of them on e-bay. For the tailights, if you want to upgrade to the 99-02 version you can get them at performace Procducts for about 135.00 a side.

I may have read your post wrong. What year is your 600? If it is a R129 90-98 then you can upgrade your tail light to the newer look of the 99-02 version. You cannot upgrade the R129 90-02 to the R230(2003+) style tail lights. Sorry if this confused you.

Need advice or maybe this is a warning ... I have clear corners on my SL ... couple of weeks ago I was given the advice by a friendly Fremont officer (Bay area, CA) to get rid of them or face a $127 fine.
He claims they are illegal in US as they are not DOT approved. Anyone have any similar experience ?
