Brake Pad Recommendation-04 SL500
I bought this car used with 26,000 miles. I noticed that the front and rear pads throw off a lot of brake dust on to the rims.
Any recommendations on who's disc pads I should look at to replace the ones on the car. OEM? Aftermarket?

After reading the thread five337 posted I think Poterfields are the best choice. Akebenos seem to have serious brake fade.
I had brake fade with the oems after driving mildly hard and I almost had a devastating accident. Porterfields have a much higher heat tolerance and very low dust. I have been using them for 2+ years.
Brake fade can cause serious damage and maybe even death.

An indy installed the Akebonos yesterday, then I performed the break-in steps during the "patient" drive back home. I'll know soon whether there is any improvement in the brake dust problem, and hopefully these won't squeal as some ceramic pads reportedly do.
Most importantly, they are braking the car to my full satisfaction.
Install time was a little over an hour ($100) and the pads were $148.
