Improve handling on sl600
Hi all, can anyone give me some advice on improving the handling on a 2005 sl600 ? .i have lowered the car but the ride seems a bit spongy especially on the rear of the car . When the car is turned on you can go to the back and push the boot lid , the car does not seem to be firm but spongy .
Can anyone give some pointers on making it firmer and better to handle . Thanks

Intall AMG SL55/SL65 ABC Struts... Very expensive...
The ABC struts on the AMG cars are firmer... If/when you need struts buy the AMG struts from for the SL55/65. The price difference between SL600 and AMG strut might not be to scary maybe even the same?
Arnott has rebuilt struts for $699 each...

Yep! Send the driver to a performance driving school. The $$$ spent for "improved handling" that the driver will experience will last a lifetime rather than only for the time that he owns the vehicle.

But that depends on your definition. Spongy compared to what other car? Another Merc or?
ABS suspensions are about as good as they come and the SL600 is pretty stiff in sport mode (not quite like an AMG, but not dramatically softer).
This isn't based on a 10 minute comparison drive either; I owned an SL55 for several years...
