Sl550 pricing
Looking at sl550 prices at te dealers here in Phoenix Scottsdale area. They are talking list price? Maybe 3800 off of 120k. Some cars were in golf promo and maybe 6k off. Seems wrong. Maybe euro delivery is better answer. Looking to lease but still got to haggle the purchase price? What have others gotten off list. Thanks

On a car that listed for $125,385 I paid 95% of list and then $2K additional off for being a USAA member. Not great, not horrible, but hassle free.

thanks for the answers. keep them coming. i am looking at euro delivery to get the 7% discount. but still interested in the us dealer pricing.

I ordered my SL63 back in June and took deliver in September. I got 5% off MSRP but it took me awhile to find a dealer who was willing to make the sale at a fair profit. Most wanted MSRP at the time.

Ours was a touch under $121k sticker and we got $9500 off. Car was not old either; Janurary '13 build, 23 miles on it. Couldn't have been on the lot longer than 2 weeks...

$9500 hundred off sticker is damn good! Mine was built in December - special order (adds $250 to sticker) - and I got it fairly quickly too. What color is yours Wolfman?

I actually didn't plan to get the car but grabbed it the same day we test drove it. Doing this on the last day of month didn't hurt either

The 11K discount, did you get this at the dealer located @ the 73 and Jamboree?
I am considering a SL in a month or two when my S-Class lease is up, so knowing what the dealer might do is important to my decision on a SL or something else.

another 'tool' you have at the ready to see what average prices being paid is truecar.com. it will give you a broader response base and show you area-specific pricing as well as national averages. it is not as 'personal' as this approach is by polling forum members (which is perfectly fine) but checking out that website might give you a larger sample size from which you can extract data and use to help frame your own pricing threshold decision. just a thought.

That time quickly doubles if you drop off in other places (like Paris, etc.)
Wasn't worth it for me as the discount ended up to be close to it the 8% anyway.

We live in an area with limited top-down time and the ideal time for European Delivery is during the same period.
Since we would have traded-in our only convertible, being out of a fun car for 8.5-15.5 weeks is just not an option.
Sure is perfect for some, just not for us.
