The Johnson Pump

Well guys this is it. Since I fitted this to the 600, not only is the car faster,
everything, kickdown , smoothness and more have all got better, worth every penny even if your not re mapping.
This is going on my SL65 regardless. The Johnson Pump-pum-009a.jpg

Ever since you said you replaced your SL63 with the SL65, I think its been written in the stars that you'd get a CM30 for that as well.

This reminds me of a question I was going to ask before though:

Which is faster - your tuned S600 or stock SL65?

Cheers, Nick

I can only tell you the difference fitting the CM30 after a re map, and that's
stronger acceleration, doesn't get weaker the harder you drive it, better kick down. At the moment the 600 is marginally quicker particulalrly from the lights
more nimble, the 65 has more grunt further up, bigger turbos perhaps.

Is the bosch the standard pump, I have heard they are really improved, but
as far as I am concerned it's Johnson for me.

here is the one i found. basically the same thing everyone else is selling, just not rebranded. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALUMINUM-BAR...f06671&vxp=mtr

do a search for the pump too. could wrap up both pieces for under $250.

The Johnson is a straight swap with the standard unit, labour would be about
1 hour, it still surprises me when I boot it It might be worth having your oils changed at the same time. My SL65 is going in Monday for Johnson
pump to be fitted plus back axle, gearbox and engine oil and filter change.
If your plugs are old it might be worth changing them as well.
And then the re map......
