I'm sorry but that is ugly. On Mercedes car, if you stick with name brand like AMG, Carlsson, Brabus, Renntech..etc. it add more value to the car. You said that you want an "honest" opinion and that was mine.

Gotta go 3 for 3 here. I don't like the look. To me it's not so much the chrome...but the 19's force you to use such a low profile tire, that it looks like there aren't any! Anyhow, I have the 17" AMG's on my SLK320 Sport and don't think I'd go bigger than that.
Course...that is what makes owning a car great..you can customize it however you want.

thank u all for your opinion,,,, i personally like the look of my car and get plenty attention from the ladies with those rims...
i understand that rims like that are normally for suvs and stuff, but when u get rims for your car it depends on your reason...most get rims to merely improve the look and handling of their car...
i bought my 19 inch chromes as pure attention getters and they are serving their purpose..

yes, of course the vario roof gets attention,, but lets face it,,, the novelty of it has worn off to 90% of the public......plus,, what aare u gonna do everytime u see a hot chik,,, put your top up and down?? lol
me, with my 19 inch chrome attention getters, dont have that problem....my car always gets attention whether putting top down, up or just standing still!

plus, "accolades".....there must be some misunderstanding...the lookers were all thinking, "why would you do that?"

im not upset or "unchilled" i understand that everone has their opinion and i explicitly asked for it......i just got a little perturbed that it was implied that my car is an insult to mbusa.

You have the best of everything with those rims:
1) Wheels that fit the slk beautifully
2) The nicest chrome rims available (why not just get the solid sheet of chrome?)
3) Good Price since 19" Giovannis are so cheap
4) The respect and envy of all other MB owners
5) The classiest of women admiring you (huge chrome rims just don't appeal to hoes and hoochies)

Of course you realise that the styling of an SLK is designed to be low-profile; to indicate that it has class and style. The one in the picture looks cheaper than every red, 'tuned', Honda Civic that we leave in our dust while chasing motor-cycles (one of my favorite pastimes in my SLK).
Go on. Complete the look. Hang a CD off your rear-view mirror!

Yea I saw eyce"s ml truck but that's kinda different he's got like a car show car. And all his stuff that was added on to his truck was expensive stuff this guy throws on a set of $2k rims with tires and thinks he a big shot because the little school girls are impressed with his ghetto rims. Plus he got an attitude when those guys gave their opinon. I see those rims on lime green big chevy 4dr sedans (the name slips my mind right now) that the wanna be drug dealers drive. Gimma a break!!!!
