Power seats, side mirrors, steering column option
The sales guy encourages this option:
SmartKey memory features for driver’s seat, outside mirrors and steering column for CAD$1895.
I'm still 50/50 on it.....coz altho it seems useless to get power seats for a 2 seater, i had bad experience w/ manual seats coz the tracks wear out and the seat "moves" when cornering. It feels awful.
Also, the sales guy got his pt dat u can only get a finer tune if u get the "continuous" adjustment of a power seat VS the several slots of a manual seat.
For those who have this option, what do u guys think?

I have the power seats, which is referred to as the Comfort Package here in the United States. I personally like the feature. The seat moves back and the steering column moves up when you open the doors and when you put your key in the ignition the seat and steering column moves to it's memory position. For us mid-forty guys with bad backs, it helps getting in and out. But the main reason I got it was it seemed weird to buy a fifty thousand plus car(in other words, expensive) with manual seats. I sat in one in the dealer with manual seats and it was easy to adjust, but to me it just felt un-Mercedes-like, so I got the power seats. No offence to those with manual seats, but that's why I got it. Plus if my wife ever drives the car, her memory position is stored in 2.

I ended up with manual seats but I thought I wanted the power seats because of all the things said in the first reply. This car is mainly my wifes car
but if together and we take it I will drive. I could not get comfortable in the passangers seat with power seats and I can with the manual seats. Im 5-11 and the Power passanger seats do not tilt back as the manual ones. I could tell no difference with the drivers seats. Being a 2 seater my wife said it didnt matter to her. I was thinking like response one "55K you would thingk you would get power seats. She liked the car and had extra money for upgrades and add ons.

I live in the same area as you do. Do you have a connection at MB? Or do you just walk in and talk to any salesman? If you dont know anybody in MB, shoot me an e-mail, I'll help you out.

Just under 9K miles on mine with manual seats and no problems...love the heaters and airscarf on chilly mornings and saved the cost toward that...I have been the only driver, so adjusting is not important...
