try ebay for replicas, they are usually pretty cheap but heavy and weak. Try privat, a subsidiary of konig sells four 19" for $1000, it's pretty cheap, looks decent too, I would probably order from them instead of the replicas. http://www.privatwheels.com/html/homepage.html

I like the styling of the SLK280 16" wheels. I just don't like 16" wheels. I personally wouldn't consider ANY wheel less than 17", 18" is better, and 19" is best.

A difference of opinion here. I think 19" wheels look completely out of proportion on the SLK.

I respect your opinion. However, with 19" wheels you have the same (almost the same) diameter setup, depending on tire size. More wheel, less tire, same diameter. With 16" wheels, there's too much tire. I agree, with 20", you're moving up to the "monster" truck category.

It's the thin (height) tire that visually bothers me, not the actual wheel diameter. It looks out of proportion to me although that is just a personal opinion.

That's the whole point in getting 19's so you will have minimium tire tread, generally for an aggressive sporty look, the thinner the better. 19's are not exactly for performance, mainly just looks, most ppl who track will take out their 19's and get ultralight 17's for that purpose. Difference in opinion is right.

I just upgraded to "non-functional, "completely out of proportion" wheels with tires that "don't have enough rubber on them." Therefore, I have my stock 17" 10-spokes sitting around in SoCal for sale. Wheels in very good condition. PM me if interested.

Personally I feel the nicest looking wheels and tires are those that are the widest. Notice how exotics and more expensive sport cars all have extremely wide wheels and not necessarily large diameter. This not only aids in gripping the road but also is very aesthetically pleasing.
