a butt turbo is know as a remote mounted or rear mounted turbo there s place thats has a patent for rear mounts their called squires turbo systems or sts turbo they have universal kits for your car.they cost at around the low 1000 dollar mark depending on what stage you want

I think the consensus has been the turbo itself could be mounted, but tuning would be the issue. There is no Mercedes specific kit, so you would have to get the generic kit and custom fab (weld) the piping. Also, I'm pretty sure from looking at it that you'd want to run the twin turbo kit, for ease of installation, which would boost the cost a good bit.

This would be really cool, though, if someone were to pursue it and then particularly if a vendor were to market the specific necessary pre-fabbed piping.
