Carlsson 19" 1/16 BE Wheels
Has anyone used the 16-spoke Carlsson 19" wheels in Ultra Light (Forged) or
Brilliant Edition?
I am in the process of ordering a set and am a little concerned that the rear wheel, which is 10" (11" / 280mm outside dimension) is too wide for the 275/30/19 PS2 and the 295/30/19 PS2 maybe too wide for the car, even with ET45 offset.
I would appreciate any advice, even if you have experience with other brands 19x10" rear wheels and tyres. I know that the 9.5" wheels with 275/30/19 tyres are more common.

As far as I know...
Carlsson doesn't "recommend" their 19 fitment for the E55. I called Carlsson USA, b/c I was very interested in the UL, and they talked me out of it for the same reasons you're considering.
Go with HRE...that's what I'm doing

I have the Carlsson's (19x8.5 and 19x10) on my E55 wrapped in Michelin PS2 245/35-19 275/30-19. I think that's as big as you can go w/ the 19"...

Who did you talk to? Call 305-715-0000 and maybe you need to reconfirm.

285's and 295's are too wide... just because of the shoulder.
Lastly, you can run an aggressive 28mm offset on a 19x10 with 275/30-19 Michelin PS2 tires - WITHOUT fender rolling.

you've got wrong information! Carlsson 1/16 UL 8.5 + 10x19' will fit to W211 E55 AMG. In Germany 19' is the most common size of tuning wheels for your car. The recommended tire dimension is 245/35 for front and 285/30 for the rear. For me the forged 1/16 UL is the best wheel for E55 AMG, strong, very light (unsprung masses) and the design is extraordinary nice, you should go for it!

It is quite possible and quite common!!
You would have no problems fitting a 19" Rear on the E-Class. You can run the 285/30 or 275/30 rear. Either way it works like a dream. Car has no problems accomodating these widths. I'd like to know whom you spoke with that gave you this wrong advice.
We can be reached at 305-715-0000.
Kind regards,

Sorry...
I need to amend/correct my previous statement...After racking my brains, I realized that the 20" fitment is the one not recommended by Carlsson. You should be just fine with the 19" fitment. Go for it

What offsets did you use on the front and rear? I heard that Carlsson only makes one offset, ET45 and then snaps on adaptors to suit each car to end up with 30, 35 etc.

Wheel Spacers
That is correct. The wheels utilize a hardware mounting kit which allows us to fine tune each vehicle application. In your case the spacer will give us 35 and 33 mm offsets respectively front and rear.
