Where is the evaporator on the beast..starting to get urine smell.
Pretty common in some cars. Something about a faulty evaporator that is fixed in the newer cars. Just happens when I start her...I really noticed when I have been smelling for the milk smell (kid spilled milk last week). No sour milk, but noticed the mildew/urine type smell at start up. Nothing major, but it's there.
Was thinking of hitting it with anti bacterial or fabreeze maybe.
Is it something I can even remotely get to?

I guess that's one of those good news bad news things. The good news is the car doesn't smell like spoiled milk... the bad thing is it smalls like used cat. Yeech

Jak, just got my car back from 10K service. I told the service advisor about the nasty pee smell and she said there's a treatment for that now. They took care of the problem, the lady told me to always use Auto mode so it can circulate fresh air at times.

A/c smell
I have 2005 with 1700 miles and have this same problem. This is a common problem with the e classes. I have had the treatment done, but no good results. Very upset. Had the car at the dealer 3 times. I am trying to contact MB about the problem.
