I got my car back last night and my preliminary impression (butt dyno) is that it feels very strong. It was just starting to rain so I could not give it much of a flogging. If the rain breaks later today I will attempt to give you some 1/4 mile numbers at test-n-tune tonight.
Thanks Vic!

OK, I'm confused. Is the dyno plot showing crank values or rear wheel values?
It looks like the torque curve is falling off too fast. The peak HP RPM is way too low, especially considering the cams. How's your IC system working?

I really was impressed with the 1/4 mile run on the Mustang. That is what really showed my improvement with VRUS TB. I bet with good launch at the right track, I am not going to hit 10's yet, but I am pretty friggin close for sure.
Starting to learn, Derek is 100% on. I just gotta take it to the track, otherwise we are just at the mercy of incorrect dynos/operators/conditions and correction ratios.

a set of cams, ported heads maybe some oversize valves that's where the real chimichanga's live-all with a real powerband-
WOW i thought my 3.0 944T is fast these cars must be missles! Maybe it's time i bought a sedan!

Wow...sounds a lot for such mods...since most of K2 car makes 470 at the wheels...
Are you sure those numbers are calculated right ???
With bigger pulleys you will pass 750 HP mark !!!

Told ya Corrected values are just voodoo. Really don't care about that. I just wanted to know about Air Fuel and over-all performace. The car actually runs so smooth now, I was really worried performance was reduced.

One thing I would be concerned about is the torque dropoff at 4000 RPM. It's dropping faster than expected and is causing the HP to peak too soon. IOW, you're leaving some power on the table - I would guestimate 40-50 HP at around 5500 RPM. With your setup your HP should still be increasing at 6000 RPM. Can you log your IAT and timing? It looks like your IC may need some help.

Darren, Darren, Darren... Yee of little faith... Regardless of how much power it adds (and I know it adds power) the car turns into a completely different machine with the extra airflow...
I wish I could show you emails from the installers ... Everyone who drives the car before/after says the same thing... "Car is transformed into a completely different machine with this TB.."
I am waiting for approval from someone to post snippets of his email so you guys can get some feedback...

Come V-Man, I do not doubt you at all! I'm just really curious what type of HP difference it's making. I have full faith your ability to unleash the real beast in these engines .
Believably yours,
Darren

Loren,
Dont even try this at home... Unless you REALLY want to experiment with your car.. I would leave this one up to the pros because alot of the vacuum lines, hoses, S/C, fuel lines, etc have to be disconnected to get this in.
As for the gaskets.. I supply the S/C inlet & TB gaskets.. The Intake manifold gaskets I dont supply because they dont get alot of wear/usage.. Mine still looked brand new when I looked at them.
Worst comes to Worse you can buy new ones at the dealer.. They are $21 each I believe. I didnt change mine.. Only changed the 2 that I supply with kit.

Good idea!!
Guys: My buddy from down-under... Finny.. Decided to tackle this himself... Well.. Here is a shot of his engine bay with install in progress.
Finny: I forgot to ask you.. how does your car feel with new TB in it? Is she a runner or is it still apart for the "other project".

Happy Man!
To pull it all apart, remove the old bits, clean, reinstall new bits and put everything back together...
About 5 hours taking my time because I just lost my super-charger virginity. I could do it in 3 to 4 hours next time or quicker if I had help. Very tricky though, just lucky I've got some mechanical skills. Anyway it's good therapy...
With my existing mods, the TB kit from Victor just woke every thing up! I seem to have traction problems 2nd and 3rd now
I can notice extra torque and quicker top end. It's not psychological but obviously noticeable. At 100 k's in 2nd and 3rd gear... when I nail it, ESP just flashes even on dry road. It go's off it's head! Will be interesting to see the dyno, but it dose wake it up.
One of the best value for money mods so far! Very, Very Happy Victor... Thanks Mate, keep up the good work!

Do this a day or two before the install so it's 100% dry the next day.
