I got my tracking info today. i can't wait to try it out and see what the calibrated butt dyno says.

VRUS: I ordered the OEM TB style. Can you PM me pricing to buy whatever conversion piece i need to fit it to an 80mm? I am on that project and may do it at any moment.

Vic,

I know I placed a deposit for the engine cover. Do we need a deposit for the airtubes or is it first come, first served? Either way, put me in line.

Just kidding with you vrus. I understand and hope others do also.

Jangy,

The airbox that works with the 80mm TB has its mouth bored open to mate up to the bigger TB.. its not an operation you want to do yourself. You will have to ship it back to me when you are ready to make that move and I'll have it modified for you.

No worries.. I took the deposit for the engine cover, but, when the pieces arrive, I'll just apply that to whatever each person wants to order.

I've ordered enough of each (airtubes & engine cover) to cover everyone that showed interest and they will all be here at the same time ready to ship.

did everyone have to pay an additional $22 custom's fee? Victor, you might want to add that either in the cost of the product, or let people know ahead of time. Shipping has now totalled $122

Anytime you order something that has to cross the border, you end up paying your local state & federal taxes, duties and brokerage fees.

Its alot worse for us Canucks.. We end up paying 21% for stuff to come across (6% duty, 15% taxes).. plus we pay the 18% exchange rate..

There is no point in me inflating the prices to try to accommodate these fees because it is different for each state. If you order from anywhere outside your own country this is what you will have to go through.

Some good news!

4 CF airboxes for the 80mm TBs are on their way!!! I only had 4 sent because I want to make sure everything fits perfectly before we do the rest of them.

Seeing that this is a short week, they will most likely be here by early next week.

I'll let you guys know how it goes once I've had a chance to test fit them on my car.

Thumbs up I've been VRP'ed today!!

Received the VRP Carbon Fiber Airbox today from Victor. Quality is of course top notch with detail instructions. Too bad my beast is not home with me yet, or else I would have taken her for an installation immediately. Oh well, life isn't always perfect so I'll be patient. Maybe I'll have enough time in between to get the Carlsson mufflers shipped to me as well.

Here're some pics:

Good packaging!

Nice products

Good news for some 80mm guys!!!

The first 4 CF Airboxes for the 80mm guys have shipped out today. The lucky recipients are:

- Rock
- Fleebee

- GTA23109a

Tracking #s should be emailed to you by the Fedex system!

The remaining CF airboxes for the 80mm guys are being built and should arrive soon.. I'll have specific delivery dates by next week.

Airtubes & Engine cover are still on schedule and due to arrive in the next week or so.

One last thing... I have *** 3 *** airboxes left for stock TB cars.. Get them while they last.

Have a great long weekend guys!!

Glad you like it Kev!!! It even looks good just sitting there on the floor.. You can say its "Car Art".. LOL..

Looking forward to hearing everyone's comments and feedback once you've had a chance to see it and use it.

Once you've taken it out of the box and had a chance to look it over in person, you'll know why I've been saying that pictures dont do it justice.

Hope you all enjoy them!

The remaining airboxes for my 80mm Gen 1 TB kit are due to arrive within 2 weeks (the composites shop said they will be done sooner, but that is the max)...

At the same time, they are going to ship over the first CF Engine cover and CF airtubes.. So, we will be able to see what the whole package looks like very soon!!!

You know it buddy!!!

I am trying to make it Christmas in May now for the next 2 pieces.. Not sure what I can for June and the rest of the year.. LOL..

Victor- PLEASE make one that will fit a CLK55! All that needs to be modfied is the orientation of the outlet that goes to the TB. Any chance?

Everything on the airbox is the same except the mouth. On the Gen2 TB kit there is no plate so the mouth of the airbox is 3/8" longer.

I need to finish off my commitments for the current airboxes and as well we had an airbox project for a Ferrari F430 that we had to complete.. I am looking into some other MB airboxes but it will have to wait until this other stuff is finished.

Hey Steve... I know my friend... I know... I wish I could do something to speed this up for you and the others... We are waiting on the remaining pieces for the Gen1 airboxes.. The Gen2 will follow right after that.

The extra delay was my fault because of the issue with the phenolic spacers.

I'll make it up to you guys on the engine cover & airtubes.
