For Sale: 2007 E63
I did forget one good thing though- the cruise now accelerates in 1 mph increments instead of 5. Mix that will the MAX COOL button and they're on the right track.

That is of course to say you decide to keep it and see what brings.
Honestly, I would........you're going to see similar money whether you sell at 1k or 4k miles.
The weather wasn't much different than two years ago, September of 04, when I ran 12.5-12.6 with a new E55 that was under 1,000 miles.
Track prep was fine with wheel spin only happening once. I NEVER felt ESP intrude on the power delivery. It just ran really slow. I also can't imagine AMG dialing it down so much and hope that mine is quite the anomoly.
As for the dyno, I don't want to put any more miles on it. Going to try a M6 or S600. Any recs?
Thanks for the support and I wish I had better news. I pray my car is a mistake. It could be the AMG gods getting me back for putting laughing gas on their work of art.

i do agree w/ others in that u should think about keeping E63 for a couple more thousand miles to see if she improves. u've already taken the initial depreciation hit. i guess in 8 more days we'll finally see some 1/4 runs b/w E63, E55, M5, etc.

The main hurdle is the tranny... 2 GT35R turbos with a few extra pounds of boost and all the assorted support gear and you are all set.

I've been looking for an SL65 for a while... A friend just told me he is selling his.. He wants $190,000. .2005 w/4,000kms. black/black.. I was considering buying it.. Then a 2004 SL600 came up with a few mods for mid $80K USD.. So I am probably going to buy that one.

Let's just face it... the E63 is slower than the E55.

i seriously hope i'm way off base and other e63's prove derek's to be an anomaly.
I think its important to remember that, just like I pointed out in my E63 testing, this is a sample of 1 car.
By next Friday when Loren holds the event, I will have about 600 miles on my car. At least that will give a sample of 2 cars and their performance when pretty much brand new.

Throw the Bimmer V10 in there.
If I keep it, of course I'll dyno it. But it doesn't look like I'm going to keep a car that may have a hard time outrunning an M3.
Do as you see fit but if I had a car I was going to take a bath on I might want to see why it was running as slow as a car with 150 fewer hp. There are 5 E63's at Vadims dealership, 4 here around me for sale, and many others as well. Selling it used wont be a plesent event. I would rather have a new car that works fine than your car that seems to be sick IMHO. They dyno allows you to see what the issue is and maybe get a new car at no cost or a check for your full purchase price.
You might get mb to take the car back if it is indeed down on power and that saves you money.

Honestly... I could care less about what is faster stock for stock... like many others I have K2 putting down 100 more hp than the E63 and the E63's tranny can't handle that much power,,,,, so I honestly don't give a rats *** if the E63 is faster than a stock E55.
Derek ran low 13's in his E63. He is a great driver and I think that run is indicitive of what a stock E63 will do. That coupled with the beating I put on a CLK63. So,,, it is a sample of 2 not 1.

Next, your car is modified....that excludes it there there.
E63AMG went 5 rounds with against a stock 55 and won each time.
But I think we'll all agree, that the E55 vs. E63 comparison is just about the biggest "who has the bigger d*" contest ever.
bad weather could account for up to 3MPH, bad gas? we'll have some more times soon.... I don't we can judge the E63 as a whole yet....
I want to see an M6 pull 120+ traps..... magainze test's don't count.....

I'm not traveling 100 miles roundtrip to dyno a car that I no longer want. There's simply no need.
