Kleemann ( Don't stand behind there products )
My customer purchase a K2 kit from Kleemann , after installation , the engine light turn-on ( Which they promise will not before the purchase ) , the whole car vibrate for a few second before the power band kicks in .
We shipped the ECU back to Kleemann USA to re-map it 3 times , same problem / no fix . Finally customer request to have factory setting back in the ECU , problem solve .
We got refuse by ( Cory from Kleemann USA ) to have store credit on the ECU , He only offer to have the ECU fix till prefect , but no guarantee of how many times of trying . Each UPS Express of shipping cost over hundred dollars . Kleemann also not responsible for any shipping fees .
Then we offer to have the ECU remap into my customer's other vechile ( E55 ) , again we got refuse by Cory Kleemann USA .
** This is not the first time we install this K2 kit , so we know what we are doing **
From this siutation , we learn that Kleemann USA is nothing but NO SUPPORT , don't stand back behind there products .
If anyone is thinking about purchasing Kleemann products , think twice . There are much more products out there that is better then Kleemann .
Thanks for reading .

if either car is a 03, chances are they have not disabled the secondary O2's on the ME unit. We had problems with 3 cars and sent ecu's back to them several times. Had to take matters in our own hands finally and deprogram them with a modified DAS system.

x-tian-230k : I thought so too , before this shXt happen .
Actually it was a 05 SL55 .
The way that they deal with the issue is not professional enough , not to mention they lost anohter sales on a Pulley kit for my customer's E55 , they lost their reputation and also our wholesaler's support .

Maybe you should start using Renntech or Evo if you're unhappy with Cory's customer service. Kleemann is usually known for their better than average treatment of customers but I know of no company that satisfies 100% of its clients.
On a side note, for anyone considering modifying these cars I think you must accept the inherent risks that are associated with these alterations. I cracked a Kleemann header in under a year of use. Yes, they replaced it under warranty but they did not cover the costly install of the new headers..........should they be obligated to?
I would tell anyone with an E55/63 not to modify these cars because they are great right out of the box. The only reason to ever modify your beast is if you suffer from the dreaded disease, Neveranofpower. My doctor has me on a drug cocktail for my illness but I don't think it's helping.

+1.
I hope they take care of your problem, but modding always has risks.

True, there is always two sides too the story.I dont recall Kleemann bashing any customers in here so I doubt we'll ever see a public story put up from them.
Kleemann is still my choice of tuners when the time comes.

Wow, interesting!
Brandon has always hooked me up with anything i need, sent me stuff even when i didn't send the payment right away. Plus the tune they put on my car from 2 years ago still huals ***! Never had any CEL lights or anything!
Also you speak of CEL light coming on, what does your Star tell you? Bottom line is show alittle class bud, i'm from canada as well, and they are willing to fly up or do pretty much anything for me. It's always funny to hear people bashing when things don't work out, but they are quick to point fingers, lets compare successful Kleemann installs to unsuccessful, the ratio in good to bad are pretty staggering! It don't matter if it's Renntech, Evo, Kleemann or whatever someone is gonna bash them, but for what it's worth i think they all have well engineered products and they do have good customer service.

I had some initial problems, but Cory stood behind the product. When you say K2 kit is that the pulley and headers? I went through the learning curve on this vehicle very quickly to discover that each ECU tune has to be matched to the corresponding upgraded parts. Also there is a huge difference in the air/fuel delivery of each tune.
I had a K1 and Kleeman pulley.....wanted more.... installed an ASP pulley/and K2 with no headers and it surged violently under acceleration. The K2 is designed for more than just a pulley. I went back to K1 and immediately felt the power loss but the engine now performed MUCH smoother. I just installed the EVO headers and the engine response is now very obvious. I dont think the headers made that much more power but smoothed out the power band and responsiveness.......and now can go back to the K2.
Anyway I found Cory pretty easy to work with and he even popped for the shipping on the last go around. He somehow knew I had a ASP pulley not the Kleemann and still honored to work with me.....that is pretty standup in my book. Your story is unusual based on my experience and hopefully you work it out with him.

Smart man!
Honestly, I don't really see anything wrong with this scenario. Based on the original post, Cory offered to fix the problem, no matter how long it takes. Why should any money be refunded? You can't return software in the store once opened, why should this be any different? That is just how software is sold.

I'm on Kleemann's side because of THEIR reputation.
I think THERE is a problem with the word THERE for some people.
THEY'RE going to flame me for posting this grade school level grammar.
Anyone starting a thread of this potential magnitude should at least spell check their ****. Your credibility is dead with me when I see stupid crap like that.
