And for the love of god could they have not made it a little less ugly?
I have to say though, these are the most remarkable numbers I have ever seen out of a production car for less that $100K (even more than), we'll have to wait and see what the 2nd and 3rd genration do. Cops are gonna love these things on the street.
I suspect there will be more that one of the with some variation of the license plate "AMGEATER" or "M-EATER" or whatever...

PS Keeping the E55 though...just waiting for the VRP twin turbo.

Have to say the Porsche pedigree probably wins me over, but not sure the premium charged at the moment is 100% warranted. P-car owners are no doubt wondering about this car as a viable alternative with a bundle of cash for some mods - or even a run around...
The main thing it has going for it is the front mount engine. The handling dynamics are more familiar than the rear engine P-car layout - which does take a little getting used to. Even the N-ring time is faster than the P-car, which is a massive achievement in Porsche's back yard.
I actually like the styling - maybe even more than the Porsche's wierd angled fairings on the bumpers etc... I would have preferred the P to have more polished lines. In terms of build quality think Porsche should have it beat - even if it is only by materials used.
The thing is if they were both in the parking lot and some one said to me pick one to take home as a keeper ... I would still take the P-car.
My only problem is that I have gotten use to having both speed and luxury so the next logical step would have to be a v12 tt.
+100
Also, I would not at all be surprised if these test cars are a bit "special". Like the early 90's Toyota Supra test car that was running extra boost to impress the press.
When it comes out and hits the strip, we'll see what it really has. Having said that - I love it and will probably own one in three years.

!!! Gotta love depreciation...
These basic V6 engines (think previous Nissan Skyline, or even Toyota Supras) have been tuned to produce over 800 hp. Rumor is that Nissan is taking some extraordinary steps to try and prevent aftermarket tuners from modifying the ECU.
