Another tire tread

Have 9,000 miles on the car and the rear tires are down to the wear bars. Never raced the car and pretty much babied it around the local interstates. ***! That's retarded, going easy on the tires and they are worn out.
Anyway, are there some recommendations on the best tire around now? I've heard a lot about PS2s but really don't need such a soft tire and not worried about traction.
Thanks.

The AMGs eat tires no matter what brand so it boils down to $600 or $1200
I perfer to have fresh rubber every 7K.

My experience has been VERY positive. My wife's ML has Dunlops as well, and the tires perform great in that application as well. --Get this, right now they have a $50 discount on 4 tires or a ipod!

1) Goodyear F1's - great grip, looks awesome - good in wet too and so on - however after about 3-5k miles they were extremely noisy and lost the great grip they offered
2) Pirelli P-zero Rosso - again, amazing grip, very short tread life - pirellis are usually like this however
3) Pirelli p-zero nero - great 'in between' tire - had them on my last car and they were great for the price - dont expect amazing grip but you will get decent life out of them
4) Michelin PS2 - cant stop talking about how amazing they are. phenomenal grip and great life too - you get what you pay for
5) Kumho MX - greattt bang for the buck tire - great grip esp for the price I would reccommend them
6) Nitto 555 - cheaper tire, decent grip - still testing the waters on tread life but it seems liek they will last a good amount - wet grip needs a lot of work
7) Dunlop SportMaxx - great combination tire - good grip wet and dry and more affordable than PS2 - i would recommend them if you don't wanna spend on the PS2's
these are all the tires I've owned in the last 4 years or so, there are many more I just cant remember
Ive never been a fan of the Toyo brand personally, but the Falkens are good for the price, esp to those who want stretch

Try GS-D3 for longevity, or Bridgestone 050 PP's for extra sticky next time. You won't be disapointed

See yeah

Another question, can I drive my car to Dallas from OKC and back tomorrow? The rear tires have tread but in the center they are down to the wear bars. I really want to drive it but don't want to risk a blow out. Any thoughts? Fuking Conti POS tires.......
