They are bulbs that have the silver look when they are not on...but when you turn them on they either turn amber or blue...it's so that you don't have taht nasty amber bulb just sitting there inside yer headlight housing...

Like the stealth bulbs. i have one as OEm and one as stealth and it is almost hard to see the orange when the light is off. I mostly notice it up close. Also, the stealth bulb is actually MORE amber when lit.

Dammit James, I just ordered my HID kit last week and they werent even slim and cost more than that! I need a pair of ghost amber turn signal bulbs for my 01 CLK55. They look like 1156 bulbs but the "notches" on the sides are not on opposite ends, they are at weird positions. Would you be bale to get me these bulbs? If so, how do I pay?
