Thanks Marko. I really think there's an 11 in it as it sits. I just need to change the launch. Like I said before, not getting enough passes was my biggest fear, and it came true lol.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Who tuned your ECU and why do you say that it doesn't need an ECU tune? I can already tell you without seeing the car that we can make you more power via ECU tuning than you have presently.
Help me understand...Your C63 will redline every gear, including first at 7,100 STOCK. As we all know, the E63 shifts at 6,200 in first. I haven't seen any footage from you relating to changing the E63 shift point. Do you have any? I am not sure how the videos you have on this thread, relating to the C63 are any different then the stock one I just drove yesterday. Also, when in M mode, the C63 shifts noticibly faster then the E63. I must admit, I didn't notice any difference in the way the stock car shifted then what I see in your videos. I am not saying it isn't different, I just don't fully understand.
So, with that said, help me understand exactly what your TCU changed in your C63 and what it will in an E63? Can you post some videos of an E in first gear shifting at 7100?

So as the guy who "obviously knows nothing" I obviously must have known something and put my money where my BIG Mouth is.
Once again - Line forms to the left Cash or credit?
Nice Job Andy - cant wait to drive mine.
HELLOOOO BRUCE - time to get to work buddy.

Andy,
Is there anyway of considering maybe a mild TCU tune, for those of us already invested in alternative tuning routes?
Maybe give us a slim version:
+Shift firmness
-Adaptations
+Throttle blipping on downshifts
Maybe?

I guess you need to drive the car or see it in person (like Rock) to understand the gains we've made. A stock C63 does NOT sweep the tach/speedo needles like the post tune vids I've posted. A stock C63 will not hang door to door with a K3 E55 that traps 121-124 regularly from 50-130. In fact there's a popular vid floating around youtube of a stock C63 going against a stock E55 (from a roll to eliminate the driver error factor) and losing...Now pulley, TB, CAI, header, exhaust, T-stat the E55 and then try and tell me the stocker would even be in the same camera view? No chance in hell.
Also for frame of reference all videos were shot and passes made in sport mode not Manual.
Thanks

Our C63 with 2200 miles on it ran a 12.19@116.46 actual/12.09@117.4 corrected on a 1.97 with DRs (which murder trap speed especially if you bog like I did). Do you really think there isn't an 11 in it as it sits? Also put aside the infamous C&D 12.3@116 run and look at what other C63s are running in the real world at the strip, there isn't a quicker/faster version out there, that I'm aware of. Not even close.
That's a small possibility. I've consulted with my partner and our atty and they both state unquestionably that we cannot for liability reasons mate a "full strength" TCU to anyone else's ECU (unless it's stock). Though you can just purchase our ECU tuning by itself (55/65).
I realize that doesn't help many of you out as you already have ECU tuning, but it's a HUGE risk that we simply can't take. Even if you signed a liability disclaimer, our name would still be associated in the case of something failing--again, not a situation I want. Believe me, I want to work with as many of you as possible in making your cars quicker/faster but at the same time I can't shoot myself in the foot as such.
Thanks

I completely understand. I think though that especially since you guys are getting into this particular market segment where there are people looking for your product but are for any number of reasons unable/unwilling to do a new ECU tune, a "lite" version of your TCU that just changes a few critical points should be possible. Obviously, as you've stated, it would not be appropriate for numerous reasons to offer a full-blown aggressive TCU tune without your ECU in place, but the different parameters I mentioned above should be possible, even if slightly subdued, in a universal TCU tune, I would think?
