I will get pictures of the heat shields on the car as soon as i get it back.... its at the shop for alignment right now...

I went with this intake over the others because of its price and look, with same performance gains

It retains none of the oem parts except for the y splitter....

it is new piping that directs air from the filter to the engine....

Definitely a gorgeous unit and fair price. I'd just want function. Is there no option for the goose neck (plastic OEM parts at the TB)?
Jangy reading my mind..... they are actually working on making the goose neck a carbon fiber piece later on....

there are no flat filters at all....

when i get my car back i will take a pic of it underneath, it is a 3" pipe, mandrel bent, with a steel plate welded on the top to mimic the factory appearance..... apparently it mimics it too well...lol

Nice looking kit but the air filters have to be shrouded from engine heat and recieving outside ambient air ONLY (IMO). I can only envision power loss with filters pulling in hot engine air. Under our sealed MB hoods it is brutally hot !

Do they sell just the cold air box part? Or even just a functional version of the setup? I don't need CF or looks.

...the whole reason i went with this intake is because of the price being cheaper than all of the others!

4 wheeled car.
you guys are rich. It's expensive to me. I'd like to see the final version and see if we can get one cheaper w/o the CF, or one that we can adapt to our stuff already for say, $500 at the most

I seen this product and the carbon fiber is like an insulator! It will prevent from the pipes being hot

just a friendly push to get those dyno numbers up, or even better, 1/4mile comparisons.

also, when you dyno'd, where the heat shields in place? ...was the hood open or closed?
