Okay with all the drama who's left to tune?

I still didn't see either on your list...
Anywho, VRP is in your neck of the woods and I could be wrong but I think they do custom dyno tuning, so that would count.
And for the record: until proven otherwise, LET is legit, with many satisfied customers.

IMO Weather you go Kleemann, Renntech, LET or what not, Just get a dialed in dyno tune. knowing what I know now, You will leave something on the table if you have mods and just get a mail tune or basic flash. DO IT ON A DYNO!

How about data logging at the track with a A/F ratio sensor, wouldn't that be most ideal?

Some cars blow smoke out the tail pipes that would be harder to see on a track. Dont get me wrong data logging is nice when you have something that is working. I wouldn't do it for an initial custom tune. Get it done on a dyno its just safer IMO.
When it come to testing anything doing it a controlled environment is the way to go.

Wouldn't the actual load on the vehicle be a much better and accurate way to dyno versus simulating a load? I have really no idea, I'm just trying to learn and figure out what's going to best for me when the time comes.

Powerchip is independent and happen to have worked with the E55ks for many years. Of late (last year or so), they have been working more closely with Vadim and he has taken the tune to new levels while maintaining the driveability. I would put the Vadim (note: not VRP) over ANYONE's out right now. He was the first to address the TQ management and all the others are either catching up or finding workarounds for their current tunes.
The key for me is where the baseline is on the tune that you are after? Vadim's baseline is from an '06 E55k with ALL of the MB flashes. There are absolutely NO CEL lights that happen to poop here and there like many other tuners (secondary injector, etc.).
As far as LET, IMO they have legitimized and do have many happy clients. Adding Wayne was a huge factor.

Before you start cracking down on me for using "happy hands" vs 10 and 2, could we discuss the data?
1 - When you dyno tune, is it WOT only or do some go through the gears as in normal driving?
2 - I'm a little confused why you do not accept datalogger and A/F sensor data as well.
Here is why I ask. When we first started on my car, each revision was dyno tuned and tested. Then, we would drive it for a few weeks, collecting data etc. to make adjustments. Most of it had to do with driveability and shift points, but we did make quite a few changes based on datalogged data vs the dyno. Now, in hindsight, it seems that we even missed a few mid-throttle spots so there is even more to "update".
Thanks

Another satisfied customer of LET here. I got a mail order first then an in-person tune. I highly recommend just going for the gold and flying LET out for a custom tune (or using their remote tuning setup). See my thread a few months back for my dyno sheet showing power they got above the mail order tune. I also enjoyed an 11.59 @ 121 on street tires at the last MIR event with my few mods.

I know not a lot of people like to use them or even mention them because they're so freakin expensive, but they do provide decent tunes: MKB and Brabus
Okay, so here's an updated list of the major players (in random order)
- RennTech
- Kleemann
- MKB
- Brabus
I'm personally a big fan of RennTech from personal experience on a couple of cars.
