Hey guys,

I have been looking to replace my wife's IS350 with an ISF because I was thoroughly impressed with the Lexus after a test drive. I was actually about to sign on the doted line when.... WTF.................. God himself intervened and told me to purchase a GTR.

I was not going to post any pictures of the car until it was completed but I got called-out by a moderator (who will remain nameless) because I recently changed my sig and listed a GTR.

Here are a couple of photos of my new car and some of the modifications that are waiting to be installed.

I do need to give a special "thank you" to a moderator (who will remain nameless) that was extremely instrumental in assisting me negotiate a very fair purchase price as well as hooking me up with some must-have parts.

MODS WAITING!!!

Absolutely gorgeous, should be a blast. Not a typical "wife" car, though -- are you sure it's not for you?

Rock, Im your wife----- give me the keys. I love the GT-R in red but just couldnt do it already having the PCar. I see you got the cold weather car since the wheels are not dark gray?

Those wheels are gonna look excellent. I really think you should get the red caps, I dont understand why you didnt

The midpipe is the sound controlling device on the GT-R as the stock exhaust is relatively free flowing. You will definitely notice a sound change and should gain some hp too.

You will be amazed at the functionality of the COBB. Who would have thought that we could add and remove tunes, remove/clear codes, check performance numbers and data log for 995 dollars. Oh and gain 50 hp and 60 lb/ft of tq. Plus you can plug that COBB into the computer and download custom tunes.

Congrats again on the purchase- tell us about how fast you think the GT-R is in stock format vs. the E55? I waited until 500 miles and then I had to install the COBB.

I agree with the moderator.....I'm calling you out. I do not believe you have the GTR. To prove to me that you do have it, you need to bring it to me for a full complete test drive.....which could take a minimum of 1 month!!!

Congrats on the GTR!!!!!

First of all, congrats on your purchase...

Second of all, can't believe you buy this car after you said "can't blend with her friends in accords"...

Third of all, my condolences to your E55... your sig is not showing E55 anymore, you now put it after the RS4... right before the IS350.... and soon, it'll be filthy and slow as pig w/ all carbon build-ups. j/k

FUNNY STORY:

Okay, so I'm driving down an industrial parkway tonight to shoot a couple a pictures of my car in front of a large warehouse. As I'm traveling down this long stretch to my destination, I notice out of the corner of my eye two police cruisers parked off to the side in a parking lot. I was not speeding but I had no front license plate. After a few seconds, I see the two police vehicles pull out of the lot following me. As I came up to a traffic light, one cruiser turned right and the other one turned left... in the direction I was heading. I just knew I was getting pulled over.

As I continued to my destination, he continued to follow me keeping about 150 ft. back. When I turned into the warehouse lot, he pulled up next to me and said, "OMG, I love that car" and I responded, "Would you like to drive it".

So after about two minutes of small talk the officer is in my passenger seat for a quick GTR driving lesson. I set the modes on RRR and pull out of the lot. I stomp the gas and bang, bang, bang I snap through the first three gears. The officer is totally cool and a real car nut. So after a couple of minutes of instruction I pull into a gas station to change seats with him. A bunch of people are looking at me, the GTR and the policeman changing seat positions and probably thinking WTF. It really was too funny.

You are such a wise man in so many ways!
Buy the wife a car for you.
Let the police drive.
Make the police feel indebted for future reference.
A wise man.

Beautiful car & some awesome mods...can't wait to see more pics.

I visited the local Nissan dealership this past weekend, and they're sporting a nice $20K over sticker price on their white GTR on the showroom floor. $100k+ asking price. For some reason that seems a bit high.

BTW Vic...for the COBB tuning, I notice they require 93-octane fuel only. As we know, our crap 91 California fuel isn't quite 93. Do you run race gas exclusively, or an octane booster...how exactly do you run the COBB stage1 or 2 tuning on 91 octane Cali fuel? Thanks for the info.

I don't have enough seat time to give you a full comparison but down low I cannot think of too many cars that would keep up. This thing just hooks and goes right now! No fuss, no slipping and sliding, just immediate power to the ground. I do not have the Cobb installed yet. Plus, I am going to get a Cobb custom tune.

I'm sure Vic of Fiske could give you a more accurate comparison on the GTR vs AMG. Also, they both have Cobb tunes on their cars.
