bone stock E55 AMG
just got the new solenoids installed today by HYEVON...
found out that my stock one was also blue top...
there is no difference appearance wise except for different part number...
shifting is same as before...
now, my question is, then y is the shift delay freakin' slow even before this mod?
fyi, mine's 04 model...

Hooley is convinced mine has brown top too. if someone can prove that it is brown top to me then i might snag your extra blue tops if they arent sold by then. looks like the c32 crowd may be getting interested in it. hmm....

Yes I am running a TCU tune. It was unnoticeable without the valves. As soon as I put the valves in it just worked out and the far now has zero delay from great to gear.

I have no proof of this, but i would bet my trans temps are cooler from less friction and no slipping.

Hi guys, this thread is a breakthrough for me!
@ hooleyboy:
Does this improved shifting experience u are talking about, refer also when in the M mode and shifting via the paddles?
Does this valve exchange solve the "having mind of its own when up shifting" issue? (M mode)
Does it somehow shorten the delay between pressing the paddle and the actual gear change?
It would be great I you could shoot a demonstration video of some cruising and full throttle shifting.
Thanx very much,
cheers

You could always let your GF hold the cam with one hand, and the other hand will also help specially when you are in full throttle!
