Air Filter System

What do you guys think about this? Looks like a good design ? I'm considering it but concern that the air under the hood may be way too hot for any performance gains. What do you guys think?

cant really see how it installs. looks like they attempted to make a heat shield so maybe, BUT i don't like the fact they sell electric superchargers (aka SCAM)....so i wouldnt buy their products IMHO

you can build this kit from the NAPA auto parts store for way cheaper. they have generic 3" pipes.

Did the same thing for about $40 from pepboys.

Supercharger sounded nice but I ended up removing it as after driving with it for a week the car felt noticeably more sluggish.

Anything that sucks up hot air and is using aluminum or stainless to do so is a bad idea...IMO.

Please - don't buy the electric supercharger until you buy the bridge I have for sale!

Moreover, sucking in heated air in the engine compartment is NOT the way to go. At the very least, some ducts to the front of the car, or to the high-pressure area at the base of the windshield.

Once again..NO- it's taking hot air from the engine bay. A waste.

Looks like the same intake setup my little brother put on his s-10 when he was 16. I think he paid 20 bucks for it online.

That vendor is probably profiting $305 or more, the tube isn't insulated and will get heat-soaked in 5 seconds.

I'd go looking for something else or if you're set on it, buy it online for $20.

Well I agree but for diffrent resons, Filter area looks way to small and restrictive. Yes heat will always be an issue, sucks having the air box siting ontop of the valve cover.

It looks good on a honda's but I don't think I would sport that on a benz..
