I got curious and asked a bud to visit B&G where Andy was having the ECUs tuned. There seems to be a lot more to the story than what has been posted.

Has anyone spoken with Andy lately? I've been trying to reach Dave Kasper (B&G) with no luck.

 

For $4k I would call the consumer protection and dispute the credit card charge. fight for it ! $4k is lot of money...... u could do K2 pkg !

He posts on AD often, as I have had a few run ins with him

 

He seems to know what he's doing. At least with his speciality, Chrysler/Mopar stuff. Esp SRT8s.

ps, I'm talking Dave here, not Andy of course. Andy doesn't do anything, afaik.

Fun little addendum to my story. So I at least got my money back but when sending the ECU off to LET to have them work on it. They took off the cover to discover that the ECU had just been HAMMERED with solder or some other resin to prevent someone pulling the chip and stealing their precious software.

It literally was near useless as I was having trouble with the ECU since the MHP flash of death and we had to pull the chip to get into the unit.

They said they had never seen SO much solder/resin on a chip in their life.

MHP, the gift that just keeps on giving. So put me down for a fresh 2K for an ECU that I am now out thanks to MHP.

Waybe still working on it.......who knows.

I hate to hear these kind of stories. You got burned for a grip, but MHP's rep is burned for a lifetime.

That's what I am trying to figure out but Rick mentions his post being deleted for mentioning what he does for a living. I can only think bashing MHP is advertising for them by just mentioning them or he said what he does for a living and where since it involves selling cars. So should I not mention where I got my car from or where I service it or even ask for a place to service it? They are not sponsors and I wouldn't want to get someone in trouble for answering my question? I don't like walking on egg shells and clearly Rick has to for no reason IMO. What's a forum for if you can't openly discuss things and help each other out?

Looks to me there are two sides to this story. The driven site has a little more of the both sides. To me, the challenge on the track would settle the accusations pretty easily. MIR or Miami? Which will it be?
FWIW, even though I am new to this site, looks to me like there are a lot of "pile onners". I like to see both sides of a story before making an opinion of my own. But, thats just me.

lol, you are new! mhp HAS sent his tunes to the track...and for the most part they've failed miserably on any platform other than the easy to tune c63.

the "pile onners" as you call them are the ones that have been around long enough to see all the trouble and scams that mhp has unleashed since their introduction to the world of amg. if you really want to see both sides of the story, there's enough info on this site alone for you to have a few days worth of reading. i think a search may be in order.

btw, the driven site has nothing more than andy's same ol' song and dance routine after he gets outed and him arguing with himself via cut-n-paste.
