Losing Antifreeze for no reason? - anyone else?

Well... Obviously there must be a reason. Just not sure what it could be..

The car runs perfect. No smells, never runs hot. Oil is perfectly clean, and at the correct level all the time. Never any leaks or puddles under the car (it gets parked inside, so I would know for sure). But every few months. The coolant resovior is empty, or very low. This time it took nearly a gallon of antifreeze to fill back up..

The car is still under warranty. What should I tell them??
Never throws any codes, no CE light, nothing.. The low coolant light wasn't even on, and it took 3/4 of the entire bottle of antifreeze!!! Is it worth taking it in? Or is this normal?

2005 with 25k miles on it, all stock. Any advice?? thanks much!!!

The only thing I will add is. I DID have an IC pump replaced last year under warranty. After the car (of course) became very sluggish, and had a rotten egg odor when under load.

But if there was a leak where the IC pump connections are made. Coolant would be on the ground.... right?

Your intercooler core could be cracked and the coolant is probably leaking into the intake runners.....just like mine was on my old 2002 C32.

Please read this thread:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...servoir-2.html

....as it will provide you with all the information you require. I actually showed this thread and the pictures to the service advisor at my MB dealership. Before I gave them this info they thought I was crazy....

ok guys. need some advice or help on this.. This problem is getting BAD.. Now its "eating" a gallon of antifreeze every week or two. And I only drive 10-15 miles per day. So, thats a LOT!!!!!!

Dealer is giving the old "can not duplicate". Because it isnt leaking, and there basically is not "problem" with the car. YET!!!!

Any other documentation on this, besides the above thread?

thanks

His wife crazy
Have the dealer top off the coolant and place a seal on the tank cover, drive the car as you usually do, return in a week to have them check the level and then they can explain why a gallon of coolant a week is "normal." The "cannot duplicate," crap is as old as the hills, if your car was not under a warranty, they would have already torn into the engine.

I know, its ridiculous. I am going there first thing tomorrow morning, and just leaving the car. They need to figure this out..

I mean, I am SAVING them money by being proactive on this, no?? If I just continue to drive it until it fails (which it will eventually, the engine might have severe of fatal damage, right? ugh. Stealerships..

I'll let everyone know.. Thanks for the help, this board is a huge asset.

Update: Just got a call from MB, telling me it was a lower hose, leaking? Near the power steering pump. It's possible I guess, but I never noticed any coolant on the ground, and it was going through quite a bit.. Its $100 ded. per visit. So, I hope this is it. Part ordered, will be finished tomorrow. Hopefully, this does it.
