Should look into a s65, sl65 or cl65 if you love torque

First of all, what made you decide to get rid of your E55? And secondly, why did you go to all M6? I'm just curious, I came from BMW after driving them for years. I just wanted to try something different after hearing allot of great comments about Mercedes. What are you looking at getting this time? I have a 07 E63, and I would have to say that this is absolutely the best car, that I have owned, since I was 18 yrs old. "One man, One engine - AMG"

E55
The S and the CL are tooooo Big. I dont need that much car and i like to play in the twisties. After some serious driving in the M6 i am going to keep it, it is unreal in the corners and the top end power is thrilling. I would like another car that is more comfy so i might pickup another E55 as a daily...TBC...

Pick up an 04 E55 on the cheap, mod it like theres no tomorrow. AC Schnitzer has a great tune for the M6 as well. Playing around with my friends M6 Cab with the Schnitzer tune back when my car was stock he had me pretty good. We haven't had the cars back together since, we always seem to be driving something else when we meet up, but we're both curious how the E runs against the M6 now with the mods.

I think the BMWs handling and road feel is superb, something that the Mercedes cannot match. However, I think the E55's torque more than makes up for it... at least for the straightaways.

The M6 has very very little torque but its a beast everywhere else. It also makes the gas mileage on the 55 look great! lol

The SL65 is a great car, no doubt, but I find it appealing only if you have to have a vert. It is the best looking convertible hands down. The M6 has the SL65 beat in the following areas, though, IMO (no particular order):

-Steering wheel
-Gearbox
-Seats (both support and comfort)
-Radio
-Heads up display
-Navigation
-Handling
-Ride quality
-Brakes
-Free maintenance in the warranty period
-Exhaust sound
-More fun to drive

The SL65 wins in these areas:

-Torque/straight line acceleration
-Looks
-Wow factor
-Mod potential

Both great cars though and yours is very well done

I can't disagree...great points. I think if a convertible isn't a priority...the CL65 would be a great compromise between the SL65 and S65.

If you miss the comfort and low end torque of the 55 (thankfully I still can appreciate) but want more of it...65 is the answer...
