all, I'm having a little difficulty lowering my 220 s-class with airmatic.

I get the car to where I want it, the voltages are within the correct voltage (between 2 and 3v on my car). Fronts are about 2.37, 2.42 and the rear is 2.08.

I enter the romess angles and it comes back with the values are not within the specified range.

Why is this? Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can spend time on this, think you have it, then the following week its changed again yet stable from then on out. I, and also separately along with a good MB tech, have spent hours trying to solve this. I gave up and installed adjustable lowering links. It's much easier to get right, and then manage any tweaks.

I have heard ABC is more tricky that way, but a lot of people claim airmatic is fine once set.

who knows. I have some time to play with it. I think it might have to do with adjusting the rear to get that number up from 2.08 to about 2.2

Yeah, you may well be right on ABC versus Airmatic. I was referring to experience with ABC. Good luck!

just to close the loop, i was able to get mine lowered (not hugely so) with a bit of effort and some playing with the romess angles.

Now a friend with an E55 wagon came by to lower his car and weirdly enough, the stock values were basically at the voltage limits. I could not bring his car down ANY without going below the required voltage, particularly the right front. The rear was at its max voltage as well.

Any ideas on why this may be the case? His car sits fairly low for a stock vehicle, but its not crazy.

Any tips would be great.

Also, for his car, i could not find the flashing panic brake lights. Any ideas on where this could be on a wagon? nothing doing in the rear sam.

Thanks.

Still trying to figure out why my keyless go only works on the two rear doors. Ran every keyless go test I could find. Ran a quick test and cleared all codes. No codes are coming back. Power assist door open tests all open each door. Antenna test is fine too. Anyone know the procedure to reset the system? I may just have to bite the bullet and pay the stealer ship at this point.
Any ideas gang?

Isn't it supposed to be set to ROW (rest of world) where they don't have marker lights. Fogs stay on with high beams and probably some other changes.
GOOD LUCK

Maybe you just need to replace yor door handles... Mine is also working only on back doors. It is common failure. However, Im not sure if failed door handle throw any code. I can check it for you when I will be with my mechanic.

I have already replaced one of the doorhandles TWICE. It's not the handles.

I found a local shop in town that is going to let me use their STAR machine, a quick question i have with lowering the car. Are you resetting the "comfort" setting or overwriting all settings? curious if you can set up each mode with airmatic? Any must haves on a 2003 E55? I was told to bring the DIY's and i was allowed to use it.

I went through the entire sticky and made this word document with every actual STAR trick that was listed. Hopefully this helps

E55 Air Bag issue

Need Help I have an E55 stage 4 renntech mercedes that I let sit in storage for last 4 years while I was over seas I am back now was going to have it towed to the shop to get tuned up but my air bags air completely flat and my car is almost dragging on the ground. Tow truck driver won't touch it!! is there anyway to inflate my airbags with out firing up the engines? I left the car almost empty and turned it over a few times to see if it would fire up. Of course it didn't. should I dump fuel additive and new gas and try this again or is there away to get my bags inflated another way?

Assuming you can maintain 12v to the car, you can use star to raise the car back to the normal calibrated level under activations in the airmatic module.

you can inflate the bags via STAR and full battery power or put the car on a dolly

Hi, I wanted to add to the knowledge base. I got a set of cables and a HD from Ebay, a guy in Lithuania ($300 or so). I also got a Dell D630 XFR from US.($200) The XFR is "ruggedized" with a more appropriate frame, including a briefcase like handle and metal with rubber over ports, etc.

My impression is that the guy in Lithuania BARELY knows what is going on. The HD image is apparently for a Acer laptop, didn't have any of the right drivers for D630.

The very first thing I did was go into Windows and use a cloning program to copy the drive. I then used the copied drive. This way, if it ever gets buggered up, I can copy the original again. Came on an 80GB SATA 2.5" drive.

I would avoid the Lithuania guy, there was literally not a single scrap of paper with instructions. I pointed out that printing up a page or two would save him answering the same questions via email over and over. No response.

The first thing to understand is that all of the MB software requires a "Key code" that is calculated by running some formula on the hardware id of your laptop. So a HDD sent to you and put in a laptop will need all of these codes figured out. There was a folder with Keygens to do this, but since I didn't understand that I needed to do this, it was confusing. All of the software to create these keys was there, I just didn't have any idea how to use it.

Confusingly, many of the DAS startup screens are in Russian, despite everything being set to English. One of the nice things about Dell D630 XFR is that it has a touchscreen, which works with the software, so you can touch your way through menus. This is nice.

I ended up realizing that my HD had an issue where the faked C3 unit has a serial number that is on a "blacklist" in the DAS software. I got an error 870 that meant I needed a couple fixes. There is a forum where these fixes are posted but you have to ask permission to get on it. With lots of googling I found 2 little files to replace on my install and the 870 error went away. But I can't help feeling that my lithuania friend is merely someone who got ahold of a working copy and started cranking them out. No idea why he didn't have the 870 fixes installed yet, would have saved me a couple hours of annoyance.

I was finally able to set my "COMAND=Present" in my CLK, only to discover a MY issue with Comand, but at least my Nav now shows up in IC, and I can have it tell me what road I am on and what direction I am heading, pretty cool. Now I need to get clocks set right, already got an early 2007 Comand coming to fix that issue. (Late 2007 Comand in a 2005 CLK results in no ability to change timezones, that I can find)

In retrospect, I would have only gotten the 2 cables I needed instead of the whole set. And ideally you would just get a laptop already set up with codes and fixes, will save you a day or two of frustration and trying to get answers from someone in a time zone 12 hours off yours.

BTW, while trying to find answer to 870 error, I found 2 different websites offering to SELL me the little files that I later found for free.

I am glad I did this, but it did take awhile to get all of the pieces together and working properly.

I love STAR, I was able to lower my ML63 W164 45mm all around, that is A LOT!, I didn't like the way it rode, so I hiked it to 25mm all around, it rides perfect.

I was able to change my oil mileage to 2500KM, so now the car should tell me to change it at 8k km

I inactivated the TPMS sensor, which was a huge win for me, because that thing is annoying as hell, and, also activate my lane assist, which for some reasons it was deactivated!

And that's only on my ML63, once I get my CLS55 back, oh boy...

I just lowered my CLS55, added the buzzer when locking doors, but, I fiddled with the instrument cluster and now the folding mirrors option is gone!

Also, the ALL TPC options "NOT PRESENT", but I still get message in the cluster asking me to reset my tire monitoring system, am I doing something wrong??

One last thing, how do I delete all error codes so they stop showing up in my cluster?, I keep geting this "plate light" error message and it won't go away.

Help, please

Hey guys.

I have lowered a bunch of airmatic MB's with my star c3 including my brothers w211 wagon, but it recently picked up a w212 e550 with airmatic. Has anyone done a w212? If so what are the inclination settings you used?

Thanks in advance,

George

Any one knows where is the option for the key operation closing/open windows on the W203/W209 when outside of the car, in case of rain/hot temp?

My car stopping doing that function and don't know if I messed something with xentry or if is a malfunction that xentry don't identify!

Thanks

Hi, I am trying to Activate tpms in icm but I can't. I can't use SCN coding on my w164122 ml. I did it yet in central gateway and diagnose system.
Please I need help. Everything is done, the harness, control unit and antenna.

Thank you very much

Anyone knows if it is possible ? Or 2003 is not possible ?

Thanks in advance.
