Headlight Restoration
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with refinishing their headlights. Mine are pretty hazey so I bought the 3M headlight refinishing kit. It came with several pads that sand and polish by using a drill. I haven't tried it yet but wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with trying to use this product or any others out there that you reccomend? Any input would be great!

I did it around a month ago. Mine where full of pits from rocks & some yellow hazing. It came out great. Made a big mess though. I did it in the garage. If I do my wife's car I will bring it outside.
There is a youtube video that 3M put out. It makes it very easy to do after watching the video. Alot of work, but the results made it worth it.

I've used that kit from 3m and it worked pretty good. Just follow the instructions and don't over do it. Make sure you tape everything off good too so you don't sand something you shouldn't have.

Before you go too crazy, figure out if they are fogged on the outside or the INSIDE! Many of these tended to fog on the inside so if you try to fix that with the 3M kit (or other), you are just wasting your time as it won't do a thing.

I used 2000 grit and some Zaino Z-PC Swirl Remover and it cleared them up fine. I imagine any brand of polishing compound or scratch remover would work too.
